[nine pt. 2 → ethan ; grayson's fourth dare]
I always will be caught waking up earlier than Grayson. Which always gave me the upper advantage of annoying my younger brother awake. Something I loved doing. A lot.
As I trudged into his room, Grayson's loud snores were being heard. Grayson laid in only a pair of boxers and half his feet dangling off the bed. The covers were throw all over the bed, some tangled in between his feet. His newly dyed brown hair laid messily over his eyes and every once in a while, he would pass his hands tiredly through his hair.
I looked at his purple alarm clock that sat on the nightstand, letting out a loud sigh when I realized how late to wake up Grayson was. The time read eleven forty-nine, usually it wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't for the fact Grayson had to be on air by three p.m and New York was merely a three hour trip from New Jersey.
"Dude, is this going to become an everyday thing?" I hissed as I shook my tired brother awake. Grayson jumped up a bit, startled by the sudden jostle.
"Ha ha, bite me." Grayson spoke in a raspy voice. He rubbed his eyes, removing any tiredness he might still have in him before standing up and stretching. A quiet moan slipped his lips as he touched the cold ground.
"Can you please choose an outfit for me while I brush my teeth?" Grayson questioned, already heading out his bedroom door without receiving my answer first. "Thanks!"
I pulled out a pair of black jeans, one that I had given him to borrow. It was never given back to me, which kinda made me sad since it was my favorite pair of jeans. I then placed a plain white t-shirt and a camouflage jacket.
"Bold or simple?" I asked as I poked my head into the bathroom.
"Bold!" Grayson muffled with a mouth full of toothpaste.
I nodded before retrieving back into Grayson's room. I opened his shoe closet and took out black combat boots. I dusted them off before placing them next to the attire I had assembled.
In walked Grayson, confidently strolling in while still in his boxers. His face broke out into a tight smile as he saw what I was able to bring together under such short notice. Grayson right hand went down to scratch his package as he started to put on his clothes.
"Dude, that's gross!" I gagged. I watched Grayson devilishly smirk, bringing his finger close to my face. I immediately threw myself back and hitting my head against the frame. I let out a low groan, wincing from the pain that shot up through my body.
"Oh shoot, you good bro?" Grayson asked with concerned tied. A look of sadness was washed onto his face as he watched me wince more and more. All I could do was nod, talking might've given me more pain.
"I got a concussion, you drive." I spoke in between clenched teeth. I threw my set of keys at Grayson, who stood startled.
"Really? You never let me drive your car." Grayson point out. He cupped hands out as the keys fell into them.
"I can't drive in this condition. Consider yourself lucky." I reminded as I walked slowly down the stairs. Last thing I needed is the pain to increase.
"Mom, we're gone!" Grayson called by the front door.
Soon, our mother covered in flour appeared. A small smile played on her face as she looked at us. She placed kisses on each cheek of ours. She then padded a finger along Grayson's cheek, as if studying him.
