         [BIG scandal next chapter!!]

THE grunting that came from Grayson and his group of friends were making was incredibly uncomfortable. Nathan groans were continuously getting more louder and louder. It took everything in me not to snap.

I secretly wanted to join in the fun but I knew I'd never hear the end of it with Grayson. Instead, I sat on the bench while working on a few projects that were due next week. I began calculating a few math equations, jotting them down on my laptop.

"Ethan watch out!" A fellow friend of Grayson yelled, but I was far too late to process the information.

The soccer ball flew into my lap, making the stuff on my lap to scatter onto the ground. My laptop flew my hands and in replace was my bare red hands as the ball skidded in back of me.

My anxiety grew as Grayson's friends grew nearer. The thought of one of them judging me for deciding to work on my projects rather than playing soccer with them, made me crack a sweat.

They stopped short, glaring intensively at the person behind me. I turned, making direct eye contact with May. I felt my heart dropped and instantly I felt weak on my legs. The breathe was knocked right out of me, my hands started to shake as I got more and more nervous.

She clutched the black and white ball in her hand, while clasping her cup of coffee in the other. Grayson held out his hands, which resulted in her throwing the ball in their direction and veering her attention at me.

"Here, let me help you." She offered, she gently picking up my scattered books. She nicely stacked them within each other and placed the few papers in a pile. I watched her, blown away from the nice act she was committing.

May caught me starring and sweetly smiled, she handed me the black and red pen I had brought with me. I gratefully grabbed them, trying to form words with my mouth and not being able to. Damn anxiety!

"Oh - Uh, T-Thanks." I finally stumbled out, I pinched my legs for not successfully making it sound so much smoother.

May frowned when she came in contact with my laptop, she shot me a quick apologetic smile. May softly placed the computer on my palms, turned towards me so I could fully inspect what she had realized. The screen was glitchy, various lines of blue and red ran across the screen.

"I'm sorry for that, maybe if you could bring it around my dad's shop and we could fix it." May offered, fixing her light brown hair behind her ear. "I—"

"It's fine." Grayson interrupted, still having the soccer ball clutch. It was unbelievable how close he was to us with neither of us noticing.

"Oh, okay." She spoke, taken aback from the sudden voice. I watched her confusedly shake her head in Grayson's direction. "See you around, Ethan!"

I watched as May walked away, playing around with the hem of her skirt. Once she was out of earshot, Grayson walked closer and seemed in a sour mood.

"You didn't have to be rude!" I whispered-yelled. I understand the tension that was going on with him, but it wasn't enough for him to be as cold as he acted.

"Yeah, well you didn't have to exist but I guess we both wish for better things of each other."

"That's messed up, even for you. I underst—" I began, but was soon shot down by Grayson.
