Black Friday

Andi, Buffy, Cyrus, and Jonah all stood in front of Taver shopping center. Andi looked at the rest of the group. "Alright, meet by the food court at 1300 hours."

Buffy looked at Andi confusingly. "Andi, just say 1:00. What's with the military talk?"

"Cause when we enter there, it's going to be a warzone."

"That's a bit overdramatic, don't you think?"

"Just you wait and see. You won't think I'm being dramatic when you know what chaos is in there."

Cyrus rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Come on! Let's go!"

The four entered the mall and split up.

Buffy walked into Cathy's Clothing, and saw Cyrus trying on some clothes. "Hey, Cyrus. What are you trying on?"

"Just some new jackets for winter. Ooh! Look what I found!" He pulled Buffy over to the scarves and held up a rainbow scarf. "Check it out! It's perfect for me!"

He put it on and the woman at the desk said, "Uhh. Excuse me, sir."

The two looked at the woman. "I don't think that scarf suits you."

Buffy rolled up her sleeves. "Why? Cause he's a boy, and scarves are girly?"

She shook her head. "Of course not. Look at it. He's wearing it correctly, but the scarf reaches down to his knees. Clearly, it's too big for him."

The woman pulled out another scarf from the shelf. "Here's a better one. Same design, but smaller, and cheaper."

Cyrus tried on the scarf. "It's perfect! Thank you!"

"Of course. Now, is that all you're getting today?"

"Just this scarf and the jacket."

"Alright. Total comes to $26.72, young man."

"Here you go."

"Thank you. Have a great Black Friday."

Buffy and Cyrus walked out of the store and Buffy said, "Wow. For a second, I thought I was going to have to teach her a lesson or something."

"You can't always assume the worst. So, what did you get?"

Buffy pulled out a video game. "I got this from GameGo. Newest edition of Starlight Warriors. Marty got a copy too, and we're playing online when we can."

"That's cool."

Buffy's phone rang. "Hello? Uh huh. Wait, already? Ok, bye."

She slipped her phone back in her pocket. "That was Andi. It's almost one, and she wants us to meet her at the food court."

The group sat down at one of the table. "So, what now?" Jonah asked.

Andi shrugged. "I got all the stuff I wanted. I'm ready to go."

Everyone else nodded in agreement. When they finished eating, they got up and left.

Buffy looked at Cyrus and saw he was already wearing the scarf. "Really, Cy? It's still hot today. You're really going to wear it now?"

"Yep! It's a good scarf."
