DING DONG

Bex walked up to the door, and opened it. Buffy smiled, holding a large bag of Cheeones. "Hi, Bex!"

"Hey, Buffy. Come on in!" She turned around and shouted, "Andi! Buffy's here!"

Andi rushed out of the room, wearing a sweater with Christmas lights attached. "Buffy, where's your ugly sweater?"

Buffy looked down at her jacket. "Was I supposed to wear one?"

"No. I just thought it would be fun."

Cyrus walked into the house, wearing a Merry Christmas! I'm Jewish sweater. "I'm here! What are your other two wishes?"

Andi looks at Buffy and smiles. "Cyrus has more holiday spirit than you, and he doesn't even celebrate Christmas!"

The young boy walked up to his friends, holding up a bag of gifts. "I got presents for you two!"

He took out a roll of washi tape. "Andi, I know you love crafting, so I got you some washi tape. It's red, your favorite color!"

Andi made a fake smile. "Wow. Thanks, Cy! I was running out of red. 18 rolls go by pretty quickly."

Cyrus smiled. "I knew you would like it!" He turned to Buffy and gave her a sweatband. "This is for you, since you always complain about sweating."

Buffy took the sweatband. "Thank you." She leaned towards Andi and said, "Wish he got it for me before I bought my own."

Andi smiled. "These gifts are great. Thank you, Cyrus."

Cyrus's smile grew larger. "Oh! There's Jonah! I got to give him his present." He took out a Frisbee. "It has an autograph from his favorite player, Monnah Hantana! Took me like two weeks to get."

Andi asked jokingly, "How long did it take for you to get ours?"

"Two hours. But that just means i know you both well! Alright, I'm going to talk to Jonah now." He ran to give Jonah his gift.

Buffy shrugged. "At least we got something. Last year, Cyrus said 'his friendship was gift enough.'"

Andi chuckled. "It's not like we need gifts. But I have to admit. The thought was nice."

"He put a lot more thought into his crush's gift. By the way, how are you feeling about that? I know it wasn't easy finding out about Cyrus liking Jonah."

"As I've said multiple times, I'm completely over Jonah. And to prove it..." Andi grabbed Buffy's arm and dragged her into the hallway. She pointed at her bedroom door, where a tiny piece of duct tape mistletoe hung.

"I'm going to make sure that Cyrus and Jonah are underneath that before the night is over."

Buffy asked in concern, "What if Jonah doesn't want to kiss Cyrus back?"

"Trust me. He will. He told me that no matter what, he always follows tradition. Even if he's completely straight, Cyrus will at least have that special moment."

Buffy chuckled. "You've thought of everything, haven't you?"

"Pretty much. Come on. Let's go back. I'm sure that we'll get them to kiss before it's even 8:00."

——10:00——

Andi groaned. "Alright. Plan F."

She tapped Cyrus's shoulder and said, "Come with me."

Cyrus followed Andi into the hallway. "Stand under the door, and stay."

"What am I? A dog?"

"I'll bake you cookies if you listen."

Cyrus's face immediately beamed. "Okay!"

Andi left for a while, leaving Cyrus completely bored. Well, until Jonah arrived. Cyrus stiffened up. "Jonah! Hi!"

"Hey, Cy. How's your Christmas going?"

"Normal Christmas for me. I had pizza."

"That's it?" Jonah asked.

Cyrus chuckled. "I'm Jewish, remember? Sure, I like the holiday and all, but I don't do too much."

"That's cool. Are there any traditions you like on Christmas, though?"

"Singing Christmas songs, I guess."

Jonah smirked. "What about the mistletoe tradition?"

"What's that?"

"If two people are standing under the mistletoe, then they have to kiss."

Cyrus blushed. "That sounds like a nice tradition. But, out of all the ones, are you bringing that up?"

"Look." Jonah said, as he pointed up.

Both boys looked at the mistletoe craft hanging over them. Cyrus blushed. "Oh, we don't have to, since—"

"Why not? It's tradition." Jonah leaned in, closing the gap between them. "Merry Christmas, Cyrus."

Cyrus's face was bright red. "Merry Christmas, Jonah."

Andi jumped out of nowhere, shouting, "MERRY CHRISTMAS!"

Both boys jumped, and started laughing soon after. Andi smiled. "Come on. Let's go back to the party."

Andi skipped away, and the boys followed. Cyrus whispered to Jonah, "Why are you still holding my hand? Is this another tradition?"

Jonah bit his lip. "Yeah. Totally."
