Cyrus' POV
I'm surprised I've never noticed him before. He apparently comes here everyday, with his purple laptop, and his backpack with the frisbee keychain. Why am I so surprised I've never noticed him? Because he's just so awfully cute! I'm lucky enough to get counter-duty today. When his order comes in, I'll be able to talk to him. This feels stupid. I'm crushing on someone that I'm only just noticing. Maybe I should wait a few days to talk to him before trying anything else.
My co-worker gives me the next order. "Order for Jonah!" I shout.
The guy I've been watching stands up. Jonah. His name's Jonah. "Thanks, man." He drops a few coins in my jar. "Here's a tip."
I start to blush. "T-Thanks."

Iris gives me a certain smirk in the break room. "I saw that earlier, Cyrus. You were falling hard for Jonah," she says. "Your face was super red!"
"What? No I wasn't! It was just really hot in there."
"Yep. Hot because he was in the room."
"I hate you."
"I know. But regardless, I'm going to help you out with this. By the time I'm done, you'll be able to ask him out by tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?! I met him today!"
"Love isn't patient. The second you hesitate, some Tiffany is gonna swoop in and steal your boo."
I shake my head. "He's not my boo. He's just a customer that I think is really cute."
"Whatever." She leads me to the sink near the back from the room. "I'm going to give you a small makeover. Do you wear makeup?"
I look at Iris, rolling my eyes. "I'm not that gay."
"Sure you're not, honey."

It seems a bit strange with this makeover Iris gave me. It wasn't much, but it was enough to where people took notice. It was just gelled hair and nicer clothes.
Jonah especially noticed my recent change. I was working both the cashier and serving today, and while Jonah ordered, he did this weird staring thing. Like he looked at my head, and made his way down to my clothes. Maybe he was checking me out?
I gave him his order and few minutes later, writing my number on the side of the cup, against my will. I turned towards Iris. "I can't believe I just did that. I hate this so much."
Iris leans around me and points towards the counter. "I think you're going to love this soon."
I turn around to see Jonah back at the counter. "Hi. Is everything okay?"
"Yeah," he says. "I just forgot to give you my tip." Rather than putting it in the jar, he gives it directly to me, and I take it from his hand. "Have a good day."
I put my hand over the tip jar and drop it in. Immediately, I notice a white slip of paper, and I quickly grab it out. A phone number. Jonah's phone number, with the message, "I've noticed you for a while. Kind of glad you made the first move, cause it gave my the confidence to make one too. Don't let this number go to waste."
Iris peeks over my shoulder. "Wow. It actually worked. Listen to that message, Cyrus. Don't let it go to waste.

The theme was "Coffee Shop AU." Interesting concept to work with, but I guess coffee shops are just the place for romantic meetings.
