I stayed up all night thinking about our conversation. He was pretty cute I'm not gonna lie but I can't get too close to him. I really just need the pain. It's a bonus to have a friend but I don't know what it is I just need pain. I guess with all my anger built up inside of me I felt like the pain let some loose. Almost like my blood held gas that needed to be released. I fell asleep to the thought. The next morning I woke up to Pearce pounding on my cell door.

"Whaaat?" I yelled still tired.
"Come on! Come with me!"
I jumped out of bed and opened my door. He grabbed my hand and pulled me down the hall way to the cafeteria. He pointed to a little girl getting food. "Look. A new girl" he smirked evilly. It immediately reminded me of Mia. I tested up when I remembered what I had done to her. It was 3 years ago on this exact day. I couldn't be around that girl. I couldn't. I might do the same to her. Pearce snapped infront of my face as I realized I had zoned out. "How old do you think she is?" I finally asked. "She looks about 12."
I turned to Pearce. "Why did you wanna show me this?" I asked kind of aggressively.
"Because" he smiled evilly. "She's gonna be our new "friend."
I started asking what do you mean but before I could finish he dragged me over to her.

"Hey!" He said to the girl. The girl looked shy and barley looked at him.
"This is Jeanne. My name is Pearce."
She looked up for a split second and talked quietly. "My name is Meagan."
"Hi Meagan! Can we sit with you?"
"....sure" she kept her head down the whole time we talked.
"Mind saying something to her Jeanne?" Pearce called me out. I looked at him with tears in my eyes and shook my head no.
He nudged me.
"Umm" I put my hand across the table on hers.
"It's ok. I was like you 3 years ago. I was scared and nervous and I had no idea what this place was but trust me Meagan. You'll get used to it and besides we are your friends now. We won't let anything bad happen to you here."
"Couldn't have said it better myself" Pearce added.
"...thanks" she said a bit louder. I hope I don't ruin this one.
"How old are u by the way?" Pearce asked.
"6" she said quietly.
Mia was 6. I held back tears.
