That night I didn't get much sleep. I stayed up all night trying to plan ahead. The next morning I woke up to a banging noise on my door. I opened my eyes and saw a lady looking through the little window on the door. "Wake up sleepy head. It's time for your breakfast." I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I heard a dead bolt unlock and she swung open the door and smiled. She was wearing pink scrubs and she had on an ID. She had her blonde curly hair pulled back into a pony tail. "Come with me sweet heart." She said signaling for me to come over to her. "My name is Mrs. walker and I will be taking you to all your meals."
I nodded my head and followed her to this huge cafeteria. I saw a bunch of people eating at long tables. Some were old people and some were little kids and some were teenagers and some were my age. They were all dressed in like white scrubs or outfits. Me and Mia were the only ones wearing dresses. I got my food which was really only two choices a PB&J or pizza. I got a PB&J and walked over to Mia. We spent the whole lunch talking and playing. I still wanted to leave though.

When I went back to my room Dr. Mike came in to check on me and I asked if I could switch to Dr. Smith. "What? You don't like me?" He chuckled. "No your fine I just heard Dr. Smith is really really nice and I wanna see him."
"Well ok, I guess that's fine." He said while walking back to the door. "I'll be right back." He said then walked out. About 5 minutes later Dr. Smith walked in. He looked really young like 20 years old. He looked hip in fashion too. He wasn't wearing scrubs. He wore an American eagle t shirt with vans and jeans. He had brown spiky hair in the front. I have to admit he was kind of cute.

"Well hello there! I'm Dr. Smith but u can call me by my first name, alex."
"Uhh h- hi." I stuttered.
"Oh it's ok Jeanne, you don't have to be nervous I'm really chill."
"Ok." I said "so Mia told me you let your patients out for a while is that true?" I asked.
"Yep! Only from 1 to 3 through."
"Oh ok!" I said in excitement.
"Say it's 1 o'clock right now. You wanna go see Mia?" He asked.
"Ya!!" I jumped up off my bed.

We walked out the door and Mia was playing in the hall way. As soon as she saw me she ran up to me and hugged me. "Hiiiiiii!" She said. I stood frozen in my tracks.
"Ok, so I'll leave u guys to play for a bit." Said Alex. He walked the other way and closed an office door behind him. I quickly turned to Mia and grabbed her shoulders. "I need to get out of here!" I said.
"But why?" She asked.
"I'm not crazy! I'm not!" I started shaking her.
"Ok ok! Well I do know where they keep the key to get out of the main building but it would be impossible for you to get." She said.
"So what should I do?!"
She reached in her hair and pulled out a bobby pin.
"Here." She placed it in my hand. "This should work. I use it to get around this place when doctors arnt looking."
"Wow! Thanks Mia! Your the best."
"Ya." She said walking away with her head down.
"What's wrong Mia?" I yelled after her. She turned around crying.
"I finally made a friend and your leaving me."
I ran up to her and gave her a hug. "I'm sorry but I have to get home Mia."
She wiped her tears and smiled. "I know. Go to your family." I gave her one last smile and started picking the first doors lock.
