I am 24 now. Telling this story of mine has brought back so many memories. "Sunshine asylum" got burned down by an electrical fire 2 years after I escaped. Ask for me? I bet your wondering what happened after I got hit by that car. Well luckily it didn't cause any serious injury. The worst was a fractured wrist and broken leg. When I woke up from the wreck I was being taken care of in a hospital that I recognized from when I was a child. A tall lady with short brown hair was sleeping in a chair next to me along with a man with short black hair watching tv in a hospital chair. They both looked in their late 40s. For the first time in forever, just by looking at them I felt loved. Not even knowing who they were. My heart just melted in my chest and I felt like I was protected. The man noticed I was awake and they introduced their self. They were the people that hit me in their car. The man named Russell apologized profusely and told me his wife's name was Amy. He asked me a bunch of questions I can't remember. What I do know though, is that from that day on my life changed dramatically. Russell and Amy ended up adopting me and told me they had a daughter once before named Amanda but she died at 16 in a car wreck. "You remind me so much of her" Amy had said to me once.
These people were my new family. They gave me an awesome life and helped me through all of my anxiety and depression that came with what happened in that asylum. There is only one thing that scarres me more than anything else. More than everything I had gone through. All the pain, the suffering, the cannibalism. My new parents managed to find my birth records when they adopted me and when I got to be 18 I decided to look through them. I found out that I had a brother, but what I didn't know is that my brother was pierce.
