Good to See You

I crack open one of my eyes, when I began to hear a tumbling of rocks, sunlight slowly starting to fill in the cave piece by piece. Soon, all the rocks fall into a decent size entrance, the light blinding from being in the dark for so long. Then, I see a dark figure entering.

"Good, you're still alive." Yao says as he walks in,

"Yeah, you too buddy." I mumble as I follow his footsteps with my eyes.

Yao walks by me and sets a container of water as well as a dead animal, also known as dinner.

"Drink, eat." Yao commands as he begins to walk out.

"Delivery is a couple days to late, I've been run out. " I grumble as I grab the container of water.

Yao ignores my comments and begins to walk out the cave. But, in seconds returns with the man who lurks in my nightmares. Fyers. Yao throws him to the ground in front of me, I scramble to grab the average size rock and bash him across the face with it in hand. Fyers flops to the ground, groaning in pain.

"Stop. Stop." Yao barks as he grabs my scrambling body and pulls me away from him.

"Stop? STOP? He tied me up like some dog and had me tortured!" I yell as begin throwing pebbles and small rocks at Fyers.

"Thea." Yao warns.

"And for you! I suffered because of you, and he would've killed me if you hadn't showed up. So pardon me for being a little upset, it takes awhile for wounds to heal, but I'll still have the scars." I say angrily.

"Okay." Yao says.

"Okay what?" I say as my anger begins to die down.

"Kill him. Like he was going to do to you. Or, he can take you home. " Yao says as he pulls out a knife.

"What?" I question.

"He has a plane, a way to get of this island. Still want to kill him, now?" Yao says.

"You're just a kid." Fyers laughs.

"Keep walking." I say, trying to keep him out of my head.

"Despite what this island had done, or what he's tried to make you, you're just a little girl. A confused one at that, borderline stupid if I say so. You go so far to protect a man you don't even know, but have yet to find out if he'd do the same for you?" Fyers says.

"Shut up." I snap.

"What do you know of him? Nothing I assume. And you don't know this island, the one you very feet walk on. It's a prison. You know, the place where they lock all the bad guys up. I'll spare you the lecture, but the Chinese government locked up people they deemed to dangerous to be locked up on the mainland. Government shut down the program  and poof I came along, killed the prisoners. Except two." Fyers explains.

"Who's the other prisoner, besides Yao?" I say, stopping my movements.

"Your dear friend from earlier, child. The one who took lead of your interrogation." Fyers sighs.

"He tortured me." I correct.

"You had information I needed, besides you wouldn't understand. After all, you're just a child." Fyers sneers.

I punch him in the nose and push him forward.

"Walk." I demand.

Yao grabs Fyers by the collar of his shirt and push him against a tree.

"Call you people. Tell them to bring the plane." Yao commands as he brings a walkie-talkie up to Fyers' face.

"There's no need, Yao Fei. There already here." Fyers chuckles.

Yao's face immediately begins to show concerns, my face shadowing his.

"What? You didn't think my capture would be that easy, did you?" Fyers laughs as Billy appears from the shadows, the haunting mask as well.

"Run!" Yao barks as he pulls the hood over his head, shoving a hunting knife into my hands.

I look regrettably at Yao before scurrying off, the last glance of Yao being him battling Billy.

After running with my head ducked a body hunched, like a dog with his tail in between his legs, the gun shots came to halting stop. I finally stood to tall, but I knew if they stoppedm it was for nothing good.

"Yao." I whisper.

From afar I can see Yao down to his knees in front of Billy. Billy reels his hand back and punches Yao in the face with all his might, knocking him unconscious. I step forward, wanting to run and help Yao as he is dragged away by men armed with guns. But alas, I'm just a little girl armed with a knife. I stood no chance, I throw down the knife in shame. I couldn't rescue the man who rescued me when he needed me most.
