"You!" I gasp as we're hauled into a tent with our arms bound behind our backs, but there sits Alan Durand at a table with headphones over his ears as he works on a laptop.

"Save it. We don't have the luxury of indulging in vendettas." Slade warns as we all fight against the men holding us back.

I nod, moving my eyes away from the man and back towards my team.

"Ba." Shado calls out to her father as they stare at each other.

"Shado." Yao Fei says, I could tell he was holding back on embracing his daughter.

"You led Fyers right to us, you coward!" Slade snaps, struggling against the men holding him back.

"Fyers was about to fire bomb the entire forest just to eliminate you. This way, you all have a chance." Yao Fei explains, stepping toward us.

"Well, pray I don't get the chance to repay your mercy." Slade warns.

"How fitting. Everyone reunited for the end." Fyers says as he enters the tent, strolling by us.

"The end of what? What is all this for?" I ask.

'HKIA, this is Ferris Air flight 637 out of Berlin non-stop to Hong Kong. We are steady on approach at 33,000 feet with winds at 15 knots. ETA, two hours, 15 minutes, over.' The radio crackles, a man's voice speaking.

"Ferries 637, this is HKIA. Adjust course to 0.6 degrees south. 11 minutes, over." Alan instructs into the radio.

'Roger, HKIA. Why the course change?' The man, the pilot I'm assuming, questions over the radio.

"Nothing to worry about, 637, just looking to, uh, make sure you avoid a little turbulence." Alan answers into the microphone.

'Roger that. Adjusting course now.' The man answers.

"They're altering course, sir, the plane will be in range of Lian Yu in 26 minutes." Alan tells Fyers.

"Good. Keep tracking it." Fyers replies.

"That's a commercial airliner, isn't it, Fyers? It's not like it can land here." I tell him.

"It won't be landing anywhere, Ms. Queen. I'm going to destroy it." He answers, turning to look at me with an evil smile.

Now all the missile launchers are starting to make sense.

:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:

"This doesn't make any sense! Why do you wanna blow up a plane?" I exclaim.

"When the New York Stock Exchange reopened after 9-11 the Dow Jones dropped nearly 685 points. Can you imagine what would happen to China the world's second largest economy if all air travel in and out of China were to be grounded indefinitely?" Fyers explains, standing in front of me.

"You want to destabilize China's economy?" Slade guesses.

"This's our innocent lives you're talking about killing!" I snap.

"It's not what I want but rather my employer. We have enough missiles here to shoot down any aircraft approaching the Mainland. And that will decimate China's economy. Especially once a rogue element in China's own military claims responsibility. You see, inconvenient thought you occasionally were you're always worth more to me alive than dead." Fyers answers, turning to look at Yao Fei.

"Then you should've killed me. Because I won't do it." Yao Fei says strongly.

"Really?" Fyers huffs, drawing out a gun and aiming at me.

"Thea!" Shado screams, fighting against the restraints.

"Whoa." I whisper as I stare down the barrel of a gun.

"Pick on someone your own damn size and leave the kid alone!" Slade yells, fighting against the several men holding him back.

"How adorable. You all care for each other. That makes this even more pleasurable." Fyers teases with a smirk before pistol whipping me, knocking me to ground.

Before anyone can react, Fyers quickly turns and fires a bullet in Slade's leg and another in Shado's shoulder.

"Shado! Shado!" I hear Yao Fei exclaim, as I lay on the ground with my eyes staring up.

I squeeze my eyes shut, trying to get my bearings as my ears ring and the room seems to spin. I turn my head to the side and spit out a mouth full of blood.

"I said I need you alive but I can kill everyone you care about." Fyers says, aiming the gun back at me.

:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:

"Stop! I'll do it." Yao Fei says, his hand waving in defeat.

"I knew your good judgement could be counted on. Come along now. We need to get you back into uniform." Fyers says, lowering the gun.

"Thea! Shado!" Slade grunts out, struggling to get to his feet despite his bullet wound.

Fyers pulls the gun back up and aims it toward Slade.

"Stop it! You've already won, Fyers!" I cry as I sit up, tears streaming down my face in defeat.

Suddenly, Yao Fei slips a knife into my bound hands.

"I have, haven't I?" Fyers answers with a smirk as he tucks his gun away.

Yao Fei pulls Shado to his chest, embracing her as he says something to her in their native tongue. Then his yanked away and dragged out, Fyers on his tail.

:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:

"The uniform suits you, Yao Fei. Any time you're ready." Fyers says, standing by the camera.

"To the people of China and citizens of the world I make this statement voluntarily taking responsibility for the shooting of Ferris Air flight 637 to protest the People's Republic of China's treatment of me, for betraying and abandoning me to the island of Lian Yu. Consider this...my righteous delivery of powerful vengeance." Yao Fei states robotically.

"Thank you." Fyers says as he turns off the camera.

Then, he pulls out his gun and delivers a bullet straight into Yao Fei's head. He kills him instantly.

"No!" "Ba!" Shado and I both scream as we see Yao Fei fall the ground.

"Sir. Plane is within range." Alan says over the cries of Shado.

"Ba!" Shado sobs, her head down as tears stream down her face.

Slade turns his head to the side, refusing to look at the gruesome scene. But I can only stare ahead numbly. The sound of the gun firing and Shado's cries bouncing around my ahead as quickly get to work to use the knife given to me by Yao Fei to free myself. His death was not going to be in vain.
