Chapter 7: Found him (Part 1)

So I was supposed to update tomorrow but since it's 'Second Chance' 10 days anniversary here's a gift from me to you readers!  A double update 😊Without all of you it wouldn't have been possible. "Ai Pha, come on lets go", Kit said as he took Pha's bag and and proceeded to the exit. Pha groaned and sank deeper into his seat. Beam was already waiting by the door.

"You wanted to participate in the Star-Moon contest so bear the consequences now! It's your duty to give a speech to the freshman, Kit even wrote everything for you," Beam gestured to Kit who was waving a piece of paper.

"Don't be a baby! It's only for 5 minutes. The freshman won't even pay attention to what you will say, they will keep on cheering  even you if spout nonsense!" Kit took hold of Pha's hand to dragged him along with them. Pha reluctantly followed. He was so tired of his duties of Campus Moon, he just thought it would be fun to participate. Ha! What a joke! Look at his fun now, suffering all year long at the hands of seniors, freshers and photographers, not forgetting all the sponsors hounding him.

As he got closer to the science faculty he started dragging his feet, no matter how many speeches he has given during his reigning year, he was still apprehensive of being the center of attention. Thank god their will be a new Moon by the start of next semester! The screaming crowd kind of frightened him, in the past he wouldn't have minded the attention, especially from all the beautiful ladies but now no matter how much he tried he can't stop thinking about that one person only. He was always searching, hoping of seeing his face in the crowd someday.

"Come on lets grab a bite first, i'm hungry," Beam said as he directed them to the science cafeteria. A motorcycle passed by them and Pha raised his hand in salute. It was obviously Forth, judging by the reckless way he was riding. They were not close friends but they bonded well during the competition so they always greeted each other whenever they passed by. 

"I wonder if the rumors are true," Kit said as he stared pensively after Forth. "What rumors?" Pha asked as he walked leisurely alongside his friends. "There's this rumor circulating that Forth is courting a cute boy from the science faculty."

Beam suddenly skidded to a stop, "It's true! Look!"

They stared curiously as Forth tried to comfort a smaller guy, by the way Forth was acting it was obvious he cared deeply. Pha felt like they were intruding, the boy was obviously upset and it was wrong to ogled at them like that, "lets give them some privacy, come on lets go."

But Kit was rooted on the spot staring transfixed at something. The other two followed his gaze and Pha was thunderstruck. There.... That was Wayo's friend!

What was he doing here? Did he enroll in the same university as him? Oh my god! He must know about Wayo's whereabouts, maybe...maybe Wayo came to study here also!! All kind of thoughts started overflowing him, Phana stepped in his direction but Beam stopped him and pointed towards Forth. Forth had managed to comfort the boy and now he had one hand on the back of his neck and was talking to him. The boy was looking up at Forth and he looked strangely familiar, so familiar....

Pha looked closely at him and felt shocked to the core. It was his Wayo! He was no longer bespectacled and now he had such clear, soft and milky skin, but it was definitely his baby boy!

"That's him Ai'Pha, i definitely recognise him, and look at his friend! They were never apart so it must be Wayo!" Kit said adamantly as he studied Wayo from head to toe.

An anguished sound came out from Pha, he finally found him! After searching so much, his love was right there, in front of him. Wayo turned his head towards him and Pha involuntarily took a step forward. He whispered Wayo's name and looked at him up and down, he know it was his boy but he couldn't help it, he had to say his name for it to sound real. Wayo make a distressed sound as he looked straight at him, Pha started running, he had to comfort his baby! No matter what, he promised himself that he will never hurt his baby boy anymore or let anything or anyone hurt him.

But before he could take his love into his arms he was blocked by a wall, the Forth wall.

"What do you want Pha?"  Forth asked him quite aggressively as he put Yo behind his back, he was so big that Yo completely disappeared from his view. His heart started beating madly as fear overtook  him, Yo has disappear once again! He can't let that happen, he tried to go over Forth to reach for Yo but Forth stopped him again. What the heck!

"I'm sorry Pha but my little friend is very upset right now and it seems like you're making him more upset, don't come any closer! I don't want to get physical with you. Let's go Yo." Forth put his arms around Yo's shoulders and helped him onto his motorcycle. Seeing Yo like this Pha felted wretched with grief. He whispered his name again but Yo refused to look at him. They left, leaving Pha gloomy and depressed.

"P'Pha," Ming was behind him, "Look P'Pha, Yo is my best-friend and you hurt him enough in the past. I don't want history to repeat itself so you better stay away from him and let him live his life peacefully. You don't know the consequences of your actions back then, so please stay away from him." Ming bowed and got into his car.

Pha walked over to his friends and said with a voice etched with misery, "I found him, after so long i finally found him but no one want me to go near him. How am i supposed to make amen? How can i ask him to forgive me?"

Beam put his hand on Pha's shoulder and said," Not only you Pha! It's me also, it was my idea that got you to date him for a bet, i didn't realised that even if it was just a game for us, for him it was his true feelings on play. It was my fault in the first place that caused him so much sufferings. I won't give up! Be it anyone stopping me, i will  beg for his forgiveness. I know it won't erase the past, but at least I will find  little peace to know that he has forgiven me."

"Yes Pha!" Kit said, "It was my fault also! I didn't stopped you, in fact I encouraged you to play along. They may think we don't know about what he went through after that night but we know everything, all the more reason to gain his forgiveness. I still cannot believe a cute boy like him went through hell because of us. We finally found him Pha!  Here's our chance, let's take it and make the most of it."

"I will persist till the end! I won't give up, we have to make it up to him. It's destiny that reunited us again together!" Beam joined hand with Kit and hold out the other hand to Pha. 

Pha looked at his friends and felt grateful, he could really count on his buddies no matter what. He took Beam's offered hand and join the other hand with Kit, "Whatever happens, we are going to be his servant from now on! We are going to win him and....I will make him mine! Because if it's not him then it's no one else!" His friends cheered him loudly, then they they each head off to their respective ways, loss in thought on how to win over the little boy's heart, totally forgetting about the speech Pha had to give.

Pha wanted to be alone with his thoughts so he headed to his dorm, upon entering his room he went directly to his bed and lifted the corner of the mattress and took out the album hidden there. The album was full of Wayo's pictures, pictures he secretly took when he wasn't looking and all the selfies they took on their weekend date, he would occasionally take out the album and went through it before going to bed, he would look at Wayo's smiling  face and always wonder about what he was doing at that moment, whether he was fine and how would he looked after so long. But now he no longer has to ponder, he found him. Pha smiled and sat on his bed. He opened the album and heaved a sigh. Their date, their perfect date....

Flashback

So next chapter will be flashback from Phana's POV. We will discover how he fell in love with Wayo and so on.
