Chapter 21: Friends with benefits

Beam felt disoriented as he stepped back from Forth, he took deep breath as his surroundings slowly came back at him. He looked around and cursed out aloud, his friends and everyone else was looking at them as if they were aliens. He felt Forth's arms tightened around his waist and look up at him. 

"Let go!" Beam tried to shake his arms off but Forth won't budge.

Someone whistled in the crowd and Beam hid his face into Forth's shoulder murmuring, "What have we done?"

"Nothing we should be ashamed of, let's go back." Forth took hold of his hand and led him to their table, raising his eyebrow at his friends as he passed them. The crowd slowly started to dissipate and everything resumed back to normal, his friends coming  behind them.

Yo was looking at them in wonder, he leaned towards Pha and whispered loudly, "Aren't they great together!"

"You think every couple are adorable Yo," Ming told him, settling himself beside them.

Beam blushed then shouted, "We are not a couple! We just got carried away in the moment that's all." 

By then the fairies had returned, Elephant groaned, "Too bad, we were hoping that you were really together."

Montee pushed him aside to sit next to Forth, "It's ok, who wouldn't have gotten carried away like this. We just hope we had someone like P'Forth to make out in the dance floor too!" He sighed dreamily looking adoringly at Forth.

This lightened the moment as Forth laughed lightly, he winked at him and said, "Better luck next time." The angels squealed and everyone laughed with them, except for Pha who was staring intensely at Forth and Beam. He glanced at Kit and narrowed his eyes on his ring finger, noticing the matching rings that he and Ming were wearing.

He would have to talk to his friends, for now he didn't wanted to make it more awkward than it already was and with Yo getting drunk fast, he had other things to worry about.

Beam took a sip of his drink and wished he hasn't, he could still taste Forth on his lips. He himself didn't know what possessed him to act so shamelessly like that, one thing was for sure, Forth just took him for Yo's replacement and kissed the hell out of him, at least that the only explanation he could come up with to why Forth has even kissed him. On the other side Forth was silently contemplating the possibilities of him kissing Beam and liking it tremendously. He would have to wait until the end of the night to convey his thoughts to him.

They decided to call it a night when Yo dropped dead asleep on Pha's lap. The angels also were half asleep with drunkenness. Forth took Beam back home and Pha had to be the driver, given that he had to stay somber to look after Yo who was still sleeping on the seat beside him. Ming and Kit singing gibberish loudly on the back seats, both of them drunk out of their mind.

Forth arrived in front of Beam's dorm and he got off along with him.

"Why are you following me?" Beam asked as he quickened his steps.

"We have to talk."

"No we got nothing to talk about! We're not lovers, nor friends so basically we were just strangers having a moment on the dance floor. Now it's over so please stop following me around."
