Chapter 27: Doing the forbidden

"But P'Kit, aren't we going to visit your parents?" Ming asked him then looked at Yo's father apologising, "I'm sorry but we can't uncle, we have to go..."

"NO! It's ok, we can stay." Kit intervened quickly, putting one hand on Ming's tights and squeezing it hard. As much as Kit wanted to run away screaming from the house, he didn't dare to do so.

Ming could only looked at him, feeling concerned at his strange behavior.

Forth looked at Beam then nodded, confirming that they were staying as well.

"Great, let's have dinner. We prepared everything to my son's favorite today." Yo's dad headed first and the other followed, the illegal doctors gang still shaky and nervous. 

Yo was super excited and he ran off behind his dad, tugging Pha along. Ming was holding Kit's hand gently and Beam was gripping Forth's shirt tightly from behind, walking slowly behind him. Dinner was quiet, everyone was eating hungrily and the doctors were unusually quiet. Yo's dad got an urgent call so he excused himself for a few minutes.

Ming couldn't take it no longer, he turned to Kit and asked, "P'Kit, something is going on with you, what is it?"

Kit gulped and looked around, before carefully scooping close to his boyfriend and replied in a loud whisper, "Nothing, I'm just intimated by Yo's dad."

The others nodded since now they could understand why they were behaving so weird. 

"But why?" Ming said, surprised, "He's just as adorable and sweet like Yo!"

Pha felt his fork slipping from his hand and it fell on his plate, the sound resonating loudly. Yo looked at him enquiringly, he tried to smile and lifted his fork again. 

"In-fact, Yo took entirely after him. He's the carbon copy of his dad and their characters are very similar." Ming added but stopped when Pha started choking. Yo slapped his back a couple of time before he managed to control himself. He took a deep breath and looked at his friends, "It's ok, the food just went to the wrong pipe."

He took his glass to take a drink but spurted it all out when Ming continued, "I swear I'm seeing Yo in his dad's footsteps in a decade or so...."

"What's wrong P'Pha?" Yo got up from his seat and went to him, rubbing his back and trying to calm a coughing and red face P'Pha.

"I'm gone just a couple of minutes and you're in this position?" Mr Chakrii came back, looking at Pha amusingly.

"Pa! Don't laugh at my boyfriend," Yo scolded him gently and lovingly. My Chakrii smiled and ruffed his son hair on his way back to his seat.

"So," he looked around, "are you enjoying your dinner?"

Forth as always the gentleman replied, "Of course Sir, everything is very delicious. You have an amazing cook and we are honored that you invited us today. Thank you."

He looked pleased with the response. He sat back and crossed his arms, regarding him.

"I never got the chance to thank you for what you did back then for my son. Thank you son, I'm proud of you and if there's anything you want my help for, don't hesitate to contact me."

Forth smiled and replied, "It's ok Sir, I just did what anyone else would have done. I will do it again and again for anyone in need. I can't tolerate injustice towards innocents."
