Chapter 11: First Kiss

There was complete silence, even the birds stopped chirping. Pha regarded Yo with a disbelieving look as he cupped his slapped cheek with one hand.

He asked calmy. "What was that for Yo?"

Yo replied sniffling, "Y..You told me you love me that's why!"

Pha blinked, "But i really love you! What's wrong it that?"

"STOP IT!" Yo shouted, he placed both his hands on his ears and kept screaming, "Stop it, stop it..stop."

Pha stepped forward and forcibly removed his hands, he looked into his eyes and said, "I really love you from the depth of my heart. Believe me for once Yo, please..."

"Why are you doing this to me P'Pha! I tried so hard to stay away from you. Do you even know about what you're saying? Do you know that I get nightmares from  back then?" Yo squatted down hugging his knees. His tears kept rolling down. Pha flinched hard as if he have been slapped again.

Yo was having nightmares.... 

Shit! The problem was even greater than Pha thought, Yo really suffered badly and he was still suffering, all because of him. No wonder Yo would never believe him now. He was once hurt and betrayed by him, it won't be easy to win his trust again. 

He squatted down in front of him and pleaded, "Please Yo tell me what I should do to make amends. I want to see you happy, laughing and by my side always. Scream at me, beat me! Anything....I will do anything to earn your forgiveness."

Yo finally looked up and told him very seriously, "If so then i would like it you would forget all about me! Stop coming after me!"

"WHAT? No! No way in hell!" Pha shouted as he stood up.

Yo also stood up and looked up at him, "Can't you realise? How can you be so dense! Maybe you didn't caught up all the disgusted looks I was receiving in the cafeteria but i did! It's the same situation all over again, the hateful looks, the mocking laughs and the name calling. Some girl even called me a slut back then!"

Yo  took a deep breath, sighed and continued, "You may know what happened to me but you don't know what i went through. I tried so hard, too hard to live a normal life, to make as if nothing happened. But now because of you it's starting again. I don't want to go through all of that again....I may not survive it this time." Yo finished with a sob and Pha felt his heart breaking into a million pieces.

"Yo I won't let anything happen to you, I promise! I will always be there to protect you and to love you. Just me a second chance..that's all I'm asking, please.."

"I...i'm afraid P'Pha, i don't even know if you deserve a second chance." Yo looked down to hide his pain, his heart was paining to refuse his first love but he had to do it. He was really afraid of getting hurt again, from P'Pha and from the outside world. He already witnessed first hand how ugly the outside world was and he wasn't ready for it a second time.

Pha reached out for Yo's hand and said firmly, "come with me."

"Where are we going P'Pha?"

"Just come, you will know soon," Pha lead him to the cafeteria, once there Yo tried to untangled their hands because of the stares they were receiving but Pha hold on stubbornly. He walked to the middle and shout, "Listen everyone!"

"This guy here, Wayo Panitchayasawad, I LOVE HIM!" Pha shouted loudly,  in the complete silence only the sound of mosquitoes buzzing could be heard around, everyone stared at them in shock. Some of them even started recording. Pha noticed this and continued, "Good, record everything I'm about to say and upload it everywhere. I repeat, I love Wayo Panitchayasawad and from now on if anyone, i mean it anyone; girl or boy, were to harass him or even throw a dirty look his way....you will have to deal personally with me!"
