Period [HYUNGWONHO]

A week after...

It's still 3 PM in the afternoon but the day light is noticeably dying and the temperature cools down considerably.

“Summer has finally ended huh?” Hyungwon mumbled while walking her way back to her dorm.

It's finally autumn. The leaves have reached its maturity and are now starting to graciously fall off from their trees. Hyungwon pauses from moving as she turns her head up to face the radiance of the sky. She could see how the sun pours its daylight to the world, painting everyone with gold.

“It's been two years since you left,” Hyungwon thought without averting her gaze from the sky like as if she could see someone's image up there.

Hyungwon heaved a deep sigh as she finally decided to continue on stepping her feet again but, one thing has caught her attention that made her breath and heartbeat stop for a second.

She thought that the world suddenly pauses from moving and she felt like the gravity disappears. Hyungwon couldn't believe her eyes, she could hardly blink while staring at the man who's standing meters away from her. His hair color is casting the color of the rays of the sun that hits the deciduous trees above him and his face went noticeably paler. Even if the boy was meters away, Hyungwon knows that he is none other than, the boy she ever love, Shin Wonho.

“Damn. Am I imagining him again?” she thought and a faint smile crossed Hyungwon's face.

Gathering all the courage, Hyungwon attempted to move forward with an emotionless face. She walks towards the boy and as if a wind, an air, Hyungwon didn't bother to look at the boy's direction. The girl casually passes by him like as if Wonho doesn't exist.

“Wow, that was cold” the boy chuckled but Hyungwon continued walking and didn't even bother to give Wonho a quick glance.

“Hey,” Her eyes went wide open when someone suddenly grab her wrist. Just like before his touch feels tingly and warm. 

“Don't you wanna say 'Hi'? to me?” Wonho said teasingly. He tried to pull Hyungwon's wrist for him to be able to see the girl's face but he got surprised when Hyungwon swiftly take her hands off of his grip.

Hyungwon manages to hold back all her emotions and feelings by facing the boy with the infamous resting bitch face she has.

“What's the point?” Hyungwon asked in her unusual sarcastic and cold voice.

“Wh-what point? Haha” The boy barked a laugh but he was obviously confuse.

“What's the point of me saying hi to you? What is your point on coming back here?” the girl meets Wonho's gaze. Good thing she is used to stare at people's eyes no matter how embarrassing or awkward a situation is.

“Well, to be frank with you, I obviously came here to meet you, to take something back from you. And..,” an evil smirk suddenly flashes to Wonho's lips. “I guess, it's in your responsibility to say hi to me because you owe me, big time!”

Hyungwon's brows furrowed and her forehead wrinkled. “What do you mean?”

Wonho suddenly laid his hand in front of Hyungwon like as if he wants something to be given back to him. “Give me back my heart,”

The girl's jaw fell and rested on the floor after hearing what Wonho just said.

“Tangina Wonho, nagdadrugs ka na ba?” Hyungwon said unconsciously, surprised by Wonho's statement.

Wonho bursted into laugh that made the girl to snap back to reality and realized that Wonho was just joking. Damn this boy.

“When will you ever take me seriously!?” the girl exclaimed in exasperation and she abruptly walk her way out leaving Wonho behind.

“Damn, I can't do this anymore,” Hyungwon whispered as she dropped a fake smile and tears came running down through her cheeks.

After all these time, Hyungwon thought that she's already tough enough, that she could withstand the heavy the broken heart, there goes this boy who casually barge his way once again, effortlessly breaking down her walls. The walls that confine all the emotions and feelings she tried to hold back and made her look dauntless and unbreakable. She was so sorry to herself because in the end, she still failed to keep her promise to not let her tears fall again.

It was never and will never be easy for Hyungwon to simply put an endㅡ a Period to her feelings towards Wonho.
