Calums POV
My head shot up.
A girls voice just rang in my ears.
"Who's there?"
"Um... It's rachel..."
"Rachel?"
Rachel...Rachel... Who is Rachel?
A dim bell rang trough my mind- the girl who sat beside me in maths!
"Um.. is it Rachel Howin from maths?"
I could hear her confusion in the way her breathing raced.
"Uh yes- um, is that calum?"
"Uh yes?"
She slowly opened the door of her cubicle. Her fae was year stained, mascara running down the side of her face.
I felt tears rushing down the side of my cheek. No, not because I saw her, but because my mum was in hospital, dying of pneumonia.
I don't know how, or why, but Rachel Howin, the girl from maths, was suddenly in my arms, crying her fucking heart out.
"It's okay"
"Thanks Calum."
I smiled uncertainly.
