Chapter Nine

Calums POV

Ashton got ready to drum.
"ONE TWO THREE FOUR!"
"FIVE SIX SEVEN EIGHT!"
i sighed and laughed when Michael added in for extra counts

"Let's go again!"
"ONE TWO THREE FOUR!"
We started playing the beginning of try hard. we all cheered after we finished playing the song successfully.
Luke was an awesome singer.
Ashton was an unreal drummer.
As me and Michael rocked our guitars!

"So what's the name of our band again?" asked Ashton
"Uh seriously ash? it's five sounds of summer!"
"Michael, get a life!" Luke called. "It's Five Seconds of Summer!"
"Why did we call it that again?" I asked.
"Cos it would be random to call it four seconds of summer!" shouted michael.

I shook my head and laughed.
"Good one, mike!"
Band practice was officially over.

Rachel's POV

We were hanging at Alex's place. her house was MASSIVE. MASSIVE as in buckingham palace massive! I reckon I could probably fit 2 of my houses in her bedroom.

Eileen lay down on Alex's bed and started flicking through the pages of the latest 'Vogue' magazine.

"Hey there's a quiz!" she exclaimed.
"Do it to me!" volunteered Michelle
"Okay then- it's a friendship one. question 1: if your friend was crying would you a) give her a hug and tell her it's okay or b) find the cause of her troubles and punch them in the face?"
"Uh..duh! B!"
I grinned
"Okay- next question. would you rather a) spend the day with your bestie studying for an assignment or b) hang with your boyfriend at the mall?"
"A- mainly because I don't have a boyfriend,soo.."
I heard Noelenes voice pipe up from the corner. "you and Luke seem pretty close!"
"Hey! it's nothing like that- we're just friends!" Michelle blushed.
"Do friends flirt and hold hands? Do friends turn red when they see one another?" argue Miranda.
"Okay, fine! fine! I like luke okay! now let's get on with the quiz!"
"Way to change the subject! exclaimed Eileen. she looked at Michelle's red face and turned back to the magazine. "alright then! question 3- do you wanna have sex with lukey pukey?!!!"
Everyone laughed so hard except michelle.
Flushing a shade of beetrot, Michelle snatched the magazine out of Eileen's hands.
"It's says I'm an epic friend who doesn't JOKE AROUND ABOUT THEIR BESTIES CRUSH!"

Right then, I heard the door slam downstairs. Two voices, girls, were shouting at each other. Alex rolled her eyes.

"Don't worry Rach, it's just my sisters- Mia and Isabel. you'll get used to their fighting soon enough!"
I smiled. I was about to say something when the two shouting voices interrupted me again.
"Dan is MINE MIA, BACK OFF!"
"OH REALLY? IF HES YOURS, WHY WAS HE WINKING AT ME IN PERIOD FOUR?"
"HE WANT FUCKIN WINKING, THERE WAS SOMETHING IN HIS EYE!"
"YEAH, THAT SURE EXPLAINS EVERYTHING!!!"
"SHUT UP!"
Alex sighed. I was sure I looked a little scared.
"Don't worry rachel. they're always bickering about this guy named dan."
"Wait- dan as in Dan Howell?"
She looked confused.
"Yeah... you know him?
"Yeah- my older brother Phil is always hanging out with him. the go out to the pub at least twice a week!"
Awesome! we've got connections!"
I smiled.
Noelene spoke. "wow, it's a small world."
