Chapter Twelve

Rachel's POV

I woke up to see Eileen and Miranda chatting. They saw me and immediately turned away.
"Come on guys..." I argued
They still acted like they hadn't heard anything. Noelene suddenly woke up.
"Oh hey Rach!"she said. Then she frowned, remembering last night. She looked at Eileen and Miranda in the corner.
"Oh"
Eileen looked sad, jealous and devetated. Even with her messed up black hair, she looked pretty. Miranda was by her side comforting her. She was gorgeous too, her brown hair tidy and combed.
Alex woke up. I noticed that Michelle was missing from the room.
"Where's Michelle?" I asked.
"She's in the kitchen making us breakfast." Miranda muttered in a monotone.
Michelle came into the room, all smiles. When she saw me, she frowned.
She set a plate of really delicious looking pancakes in front of all of us.
She was holding a can of whipped cream. After putting some on her pancake, she passed it around. Eileen was just about to put some whipped cream when I spoke up.
"Come on guys, why are you mad?"
"Why are we mad? WHY are we mad?" exclaimed Eileen.
"I think you know." said Miranda.
"So now Calum comes in front of our friendship? Is that why?"
"It's not just that- you knew I liked hin, but you still gave him your number! Friends don't do that!"
I sighed.
"Look, I'm sorry, alright. I have a date with him next sunday. I can tell him I'm not interested, okay?"
Eileen looked surprised. So did the others.
"Really? You would do that for me?"
I grinned. "of course I would, we're friends, aren't we?"
Now everyone was smiling.
"Guys, do you want to give her the initiation test?" Eileen asked, grinning.
"YES!" screamed Noelene.
"Alex, you get her!" shouted Michelle.
Alex pounced on me, having we lay on the ground. I was a little scared.
Eileen held the can of whipped cream in front of me and squired it in my face.
I could hear Miranda's giggles.
"Hey! Get off me!" I shrieked, laughing.
"No!"
The whipped cream covered my face, and stated getting all over my hair! I wrestled my way out of Alex's arms and got to eileen.
"Hey!" He exclaimed when I grabbed the can out of her hands. I started spraying whipped cream all over her and he others. After the can ran out of cream, we collapsed onto the floor in a fit of laughter. Michelle's bedroom was now covered in whipped cream. so were amour faces and hair.

It felt so good to be loved again. Then I remembered school was on today. I groaned!

Calum's POV

I stared at my phone. It was 9am in the morning, and I was string at the text I sent Rachel. was it to witty? too try-hardish? I sighed and looked away. She had said yes, so I must be doing something right.
My phone started buzzing. It was Layne. She was beautiful and all that, with her hair and blue eyes, but I was looking for something more. Nit just a beautiful face, but a beautiful heart. Sometimes I felt that Layne was only nice to me. Even Luke and the lads had said some things about her being ghastly.

I picked up the phone.
"Hey Layne."
"Hey babe! how are you!"
Even now her happy fake voice sounded sickly.
"I'm great, what about you?"
"Oh yeah, I'm good. So are you picking me up for school today?"
"Oh sorry- no can do. My er.. car broke down."
"Oh! we'll see you at school!"
"See ya!"
I hung up and sighed. School. I felt better knowing that Rachel was going to be at school.

Ashton, Luke, Michael and I were sitting in the back row at assembly. I could feel girls stare at us. When ashton wiles at them, they shrieked.
"Listen up everyone." spoke Mr Grayden, our principal. All the teachers were sitting in their usual positions, an I noticed miss cooch, my maths and PE teacher missing.
Mr Grayden went through the morning announcements, just like any other week. Everybody started getting chattery.
"Quiet down everyone! now I have a sad announcement. Miss Cooch, our beloved Maths and PE teacher is in Phoniex, Arizona because her father just passed away."
I heard cheers echo through the hall.
"Everybody, quiet! Now you know we must have a replacement, and Mr James has kindly offered to take Miss Cooch's position for one semester. Here he is."
Mr James walked onto the stage, ad I saw girl giggle and gossip, flushing and gazing.
Ashton seemed unhappy with his lack of attention. Maybe Mr James' prescience would make him FINALLY get a girlfriend.
"Hello Cronville High. I'm mr James, and I'll be taking grade 10 and 11 for PE and Maths."
Mr Grayden took the microphone from him.
"Thank you Mr James. Okay students, you may go to class."
Ashton still looked discouraged.
"Hey ash, you alright man?" asked Luke.
"He's fine- just afraid that Janes will steal all the ladies!"
"Shut up Mike!"
We mock punched each other, laughing as we went in different ways for period 1, PE.

Rachel's POV

I noticed two new girls standing in the corner of the gym. They looked similar, but not familiar.
I tapped Eileen on the shoulder and she turned around.
"Eileen, are they new here?" I asked, pointing to the corner of the gym.
"Yeah, they are! I wonder who they are!"
That caught the others' attention.
"What going on guys?" asked Noelene.
"There are two new girls in the corner, right over there." I said, pointing to the corner.
"Let's go introduce ourselves." suggested Alex.
"Yeah, come on!"
We headed towards the corner, and the two if them looked a little intimidated.
"Hey!" stated Miranda.
"Hi..." said the first girl shyly.
"Hey" smiled the second, more confident.
"I'm Miranda!" said Miranda, reaching out her hand to the first, shy girl.
She took it.
"Hey Miranda, I'm Christina."
Noelene did the same to the second girl. Her name was Aalya.
"So, what brings you to Cronville High? asked Eileen after we introduced ourselves.
"Oh, he's our dad." Aalya said, pointing to Mr James.
"WHAT?" we all screamed at the same time. "MR JAMES IS YOUR DAD?"
Christina spoke up. "Well, my step-dad. Aayla and I are step-sisters because my mum Shailene married her dad, Theo."
"Theo... Hot name..."
We all laughed at Michelle's sentence.
"Well, do you want to join us? We are going I Rachel's house in the afternoon." asked Alex
"Sure! they exclaimed.
Mr Janes, or Theo, clapped his habds to get our attention.
"Come on people, 5 laps of the fueld"
We all groaned, including Aalya and Christina. Mr James May be hot, but he was much rougher than Ms Cooch!
