(Charles' POV)
I left (Y/N), feeling accomplished. Glad that I had sorted things between her and myself. "Charles!" I heard Raven's voice call. I turned around. "Do you have time to talk?"
We walked into an empty room, and sat down. Raven let out a nervous sigh, which caused me slight confusion. "It's about (Y/N). Shouldn't you get her up-to-date?" She does deserve to know. But it is quite an overwhelming subject. "Charles?" I was snapped out of my thoughts. "You need to tell her before it becomes too serious. Now's as good a time as any." Raven seemed genuinely concerned for (Y/N). "Yes. I suppose so. I'll speak with her tomorrow." I got up to leave. "Oh! And Raven? Thank you." I kissed her head before walking out.
(Author's POV)
You woke up and saw a note on your door. You carefully peeled it off. It read;
(Y/N),
I would like to speak with you before everyone else joins us. Meet me outside,
Charles
You thought this was odd, but nevertheless, followed Charles' instructions. Truth be told, it did put you slightly on-edge.
You found Charles. As soon as he saw you, he waved. You both walked towards eachother, and met in the middle. "(Y/N), my words may distress you, but it has come clear to me that they need to be said." You slowly nodded. "Okay! Uh-...Well...Why do I struggle to say this!" Charles looked in your eyes, and his fingers raised to his temple. You knew what that meant. (Y/N), the reasoning for all of the training we've been doing, is that: we need to prevent a war. A nuclear war between America and Russia. A war to wipe out innocent humans. You were speechless. There is a man, Sebastian Shaw, who has a team of mutants, not unlike ours, but they have a different motive. Darwin- "Is this making sense? (Y/N)?"
