Chapter Seven

After soccer practice was over, Lilly went to Kelsey's house and Kelsey's mother opened the door with a bowl of grapes in her hand.

"Hi Ms. Williams" Lilly smiled.

"Good evening Lilly, you look so soaked" Ms. Williams smiled as she ate a grape.

"Yeah" Lilly smiled as she looked down at her feet.

"Come" Ms. Williams put the bowl down on a table next to her and she offered her hand to take Lilly's jacket.

"Thank you Ms. Williams" Lilly handed her best friend's mother her jean jacket.

"Your welcome, come in" Ms. Williams took the jacket.

Lilly walked in.

Ms. Williams yelled her daughter's name "Kelsey!"

Ms. Williams was a very polite lady, who looked twenty-six. She had shoulder length-black hair and dark brown eyes with light chocolate skin.

Lilly slid off her sneakers and she put her hair in a ponytail just as Kelsey approached her.

"Hey Lilly" Kelsey smiled.

"Hi" Lilly smiled back.

"You girls can go upstairs, I'll take care of your jacket Lilly" Ms. Williams smiled.

"Thank you Ms. Williams" Lilly grinned and followed Kelsey upstairs to her bedroom.

"So" Kelsey started right after she closed her door "the Dinner starts at five o'clock exactly. And it's" Kelsey looked at her purple rich clock "3: 15. So we have an hour to pick out dresses."

"Uh, about that" Lilly insisted "I don't want to crash it anymore" she sat in Kelsey's bubble chair.

"What" Kelsey asked. "Why not?"

"Because I don't want to go there and make a fool out of myself in front of everyone because they don't know me, especially in front of Paige and Laura."

"Don't worry, Paige won't say anything because I'll be there and as for your sister, I can deal with her too. So, come on Lilly!"

Lilly started to shake her head.

"If you do, I'll make you Lasagna tomorrow."

Lilly's face expression changed "really?!"

"Only if."

"I'll do it" Lilly stood up "let's look at dresses."

Hank started driving his Bentley with Laura in the passenger seat.

"Hurry up" she yelled "I can't be late."

"Calm down, it won't be that fun anyway."

"Hank" she looked at him "right now is not a good time."

He smiled and had one hand on the wheel "whatever. I mean" he looked at the time "you have a whole hour and forty-five minutes to be there."

"Hellooooo, beauty and fashion takes an hour, the Dinner is like ten miles away. STEP ON IT" she yelled.

And Hank did as he was told and they got to the building in five minutes.
