Chapter Seventeen

Lilly, Kelsey and Mary ended up in Mary's nice, comfy apartment.

Lilly threw herself on Mary's nice and cozy couch. "Thank you guys."

"No problem" Mary slapped Lilly's leg and walked into her kitchen and started making Iced-Tea.

"So why did you go to that hotel?" Kelsey sat across from Lilly on another couch.

"It was the only place I was thinking about because...." Lilly explained to Kelsey about everything that happened last night and Lacey swearing to be pregnant.

"That bitch" Kelsey leaned back in the couch.

"I know" Lilly nodded and leaned across the couch, getting comfortable.

"So what are you going to do from here" Kelsey asked.

"I don't know" Lilly said "I don't want to go back home."

"You can stay with me" Kelsey offered.

Lilly shook her head, "I don't want to bother you and your family."

"Then you can stay here" Mary said as she walked into the living room drinking from a cup.

Lilly looked at Mary "really?"

"Yeah" Mary nodded.

"Thanks Mary, but..........." Lilly sat up and her happy expression dropped "I don't have any clothes."

"That's okay" Mary said, "we can buy some and I think I have some of my old clothes upstairs."

"Really?"

"Yeah" Mary nodded and took another swig of her Iced-Tea.

"No" Lilly slouched down.

"What's the matter?"

"I don't want you to waste your money on me. I'll just stay home, where I'm supposed to be."

"Lilly stop" Mary put her cup down on her coffee table, "listen, you deserve so much. Just because your parents don't think so, it doesn't mean that I don't" Mary bent down and looked at Lilly.

"Or me" Kelsey raised her hand.

Mary took Lilly's hand and held it over her shoulder "you deserve the whole world. You're so wonderful, hell, you're amazing. You have a beautiful soul. Lilly, I love you so much and to hell with your parents if they don't love you as much as I do. Say, I'd be happy to buy you anything and everything that you want. Everything" Mary smiled. "Don't think that I'm wasting my money on you because whatever I buy for you is worth it."

Lilly started tearing, those were one of the kindest words she had heard.

"Do you get that?" Mary asked Lilly as she looked into her tearful eyes, "you are beautiful Lilly. Beautiful. You don't have to be a blond with blue eyes to be beautiful or be Laura. All you have to be is you, and that's what makes you beautiful."

When Lucas, Lacey, Baby Luke and Laura got to their house, they had a big conversation.

"So" Lucas threw his keys on the kitchen island "let's talk shall we?"

"Yeah" Lacey folded her hands under her chin and looked at Laura "I've been waiting for a conversation all day."

Laura gulped, not knowing what to say.

"So" Lucas started, "who is the fetus's father" Lucas leaned on the counter.

"Hank" Laura whispered.

"Hank who" Lucas asked.

"Hank Bruno" Laura said.
