The Amber Disaster (COMPLETE)

Chapter Five

Lilly decided to hang out with Kelsey at her house.

Kelsey lived in a mansion, it was really nice and neat. It was really pretty and her room was awesome. She had a swinging four-poster bed and a bubble chair with a laptop desk and a walk-in closet. Her room was painted beige and blue too.

"Okay" Kelsey plotted herself on her bed "what do you want to do first?"

"I don't know" Lilly shrugged.

"Oh come on" Kelsey sat up and saw her best friend looking down at the magazine. "Lilly" she frowned.

"It's just not fair how they put her on the cover always and never me, I mean the whole town knows Laura Amber but not me. They probably don't even know I exist." Lilly sat down on her best friend's bed.

"Well look on the bright side" Kelsey rubbed Lilly's back.

Lilly looked at her with a serious face.

"Okay there is no bright side" Kelsey looked away "so.........."

"I just want them to look at me or pay attention to me for once" Lilly pleaded. "But that'll never happen, and its too much to ask."

After practice was over, Laura walked to the building that her parents owned for business.

"Hi Miss Amber" the receptionist flashed a smile.

"Hey Claire" Laura smiled back.

"Um, you're a little late but your mother is in her office on the third floor."

"Thank you" Laura started to walk away.

"And congratulations" the receptionist held up the magazine "I'm sure you were great."

"Oh, thank you" Laura smiled and headed toward the golden elevator.

When she got in, there were three people in it and they all greeted her.

"Hi" she smiled.

Then she walked through the third floor until she got to her mother's office. Two double white doors divided her and her mother. She opened one and walked in.

"Hi mom" she smiled and continued to walk.

Her mother's office had windows on the left and right, it was white and she was sitting behind her big black desk which was covered in paperwork, magazines and pictures. None of them had Lilly in it.

"Hey baby" Lacey smiled and opened her arms and Laura hugged her.

"How is your day going" Laura sat on one of the chairs in front of the desk.

"Fine, did you see the magazine we launched today?"

"Yes I did, it looked great."

"We had to show everyone that our daughter was great."

Laura chuckled and smiled "thanks mom."

"Your welcome honey."

"Where's dad?"

"Oh, he's with Baby Luke at the Clinton Park."
