Chapter Eight

Laura sat at a table with five other girls.

"Hi" she smiled and pushed her chair in after she sat in it.

"Hi" the other girls smiled at her.

They were all so beautiful and light, but there was one black one.

"Girls" a lady was standing in the middle of the room as she hit a cup with a spoon multiple times. "Ladies" she said. Everyone was silent. "I'm glad that you all could make it today. It is a very special day and we would like to congratulate you all for putting up with your busy parents, so we have a dinner for you guys." The lady looked like she was in her forties but she was pretty, with her brown hair is a petite bun and her dark blue eyes sparkled as she looked around the room. "Please hold on while I take the attendance."

"I'm Amy" one redhead didn't follow directions.

"Laura" Laura smiled.

"Your pretty" Amy commented.

"Thank you" Laura lightly blushed.

"Laura Amber" the lady said, Laura raised her hand.

She heard snorts from one table, she looked in their direction.

"Your family owns Gossip" Amy asked.

"Yeah" Laura nodded and smiled.

"Wow, that is so cool, I love that magazine" Amy said.

"Thank you" Laura slimmed down her dress.

"Kristal Bruno" the lady said.

One of the girls that snorted raised her hand.

"Megan Bruno."

The other one who snorted raised her hand.

"Paige Bruno."

The little sister of the two raised her hand.

"Wow" Laura stared at them.

"They're so pretty" one of the girls at Laura's table said.

Laura looked at her "a little bit."

"What? Look at them, they're very pretty" the blond pointed at the Bruno's.

Laura shook her head "they're brother is cuter than them."

"You know they're brother?"

"He goes to my school" Laura flipped her hair behind her shoulder "he's my friend."

"Cool" the blond nodded.

"Sophie Cally" the lady asked.

"Here" the blond raised her hand.

"You're name's Sophie" Laura asked the girl.

"Yeah."

"That's a pretty name."

"Thank you" Sophie smiled.

After the lady stopped taking attendance she smiled at the whole crowd of girls "enjoy your dinner pretty girls" and with that she left the room and went backstage.
