A extremely common scene at asian restaurants are two different couples or families fighting over who pays the bill. People fight to pay the bills themselves.
Also, if anyone ever offers you anything (money, gifts, etc.) you always have to refuse it. It doesn't matter if you are serious or not, it is expected that you do it. Because logic -_-
