More like a step dad

Uhg, I had to go see my dad. He's technically my biological dad. Don't get me wrong he does love me...I think. Or at least care about me. Yeah, so he also met some girl out of the blue last year. I met her like twice. Then, BAM they're getting married. I ask about it a few weeks later but turns out they already got married. BAM. He didn't even tell me when he was getting married, keep in mind I'm his freaking daughter. So I was pretty pissed. THEN....BAM I have a new baby brother. The girl aka my step mom was pregnant when I was in the hospital (appendicitis, nothing to worry about, but I was high af on morphine). She was pregnant, but I don't remember. THen...BAM I get told I have a baby brother THE DAY HE IS BORN. wowza.

I went out with my dad and surprise, my stepmom was meeting us with the baby. I don't like babies. ANOTHER surprise is that my step mom's dad was there. So yeah.

My dad asked if I was hungry. I ate a good sized meal less than two hours ago. I said no (I really wasn't and I need to be healthy for track) and he laughed like I was joking/lying (?) and then asked if I was dieting. I'M NOT I EAT THREE MEALS A DAY NOW LIKE A NORMAL PERSON.

We walked around for a bit. I got some things from fucking Claire's. It's a really um...childish jewelery store. They do have some nice looking stuff (or shall I say decent) but it's all metal that's probably spray painted. Usually the earrings bother my ears a bit. BuT my step mom wanted to go so we went. I like to take my time with that since I HATE wasting money. But my step mom was like "YEE MUST GET SIX THINGS, BUY THREE GET THREE FREEEEEE".  I was good with the one ring, but she insisted. So I quickly looked around and picked up anything decent. I got a pack of different sized hoop earring (one gold one silver), a gold ring, diamond studs, and....NOSE RINGS YUP BUT THEY'RE FAKE.

Later we went to eat (okay I was getting hungry). This is for FOUR people and we ordered like three appetizers. We had calamari, a spinach cheese dip, TONS of bread. That was a loootttt, I was getting full. Oh, but the main part hadn't arrived yet. I had a vegetable pasta. It was good but I got full.

I went to forever 21 and it was really awkward. I was looking for things for track. I got a cringey sweater for track and it's black and says R U N on the sleeves. Now I'm too nervous to wear it, it's so cringey, wearing something that says run to a sport where you literally run.

I went to PINK with my step mom and got these reeeeaaaallly bougie grey leggings with a maroon top part and...IT HAS POCKETS AND THEY'RE REALLY SECURE AND IT'S COMFY AND LOOKS GOOD SO IT'S MINE.

Uhg, my step mom wanted to get bras with me. I was so uncomfortable, I only do that with my mom or grandma, other than that it's weird. She's my step mother, I can see her as an aunt or MAYBE a sister, but she's not my mom.

We got dessert at a French place and I got a lemon tart. It could fit in my had, I could maybe curl my fingers around it barely (I have small hands, think 11 year old hands) and my step mom was like "it's so small!" I really dislike commentary on food unless it's YUMMM or YUUUCKK.

THEY FUCKING ASKED ME TO BABYSIT MY LITTLE HALF BROTHER. HE'S MORE OF A STEP BROTHER. SHIT THAT AIN'T MY JOB. I GOT A LIFE. MY DAD DIDN'T TAKE CARE OF ME AS A LITTLE CHILD. HELL HE NEVER WATCHED ME AS IN BABYSAT ME.  SO NAH OH HELL NAH.

I awkwardly said suuurrreee(?(??????). My parents (at home) said nahhhh oh helll nah are you doing that, he can't ask you that, that's not your responsibilty.

Now they're asking me to go on a road trip with them. I'm really uncomfortable since I only like traveling with family or REALLY close friends.

Don't get me wrong, I care about my dad, but I don't love him. I think it's mutual. Seeing him is more like a task, not really fun. Although, can't complain about free stuff :) And my stepmom...I'm getting to know her. She's nice, I know it seems like I'm dissing her but she really is nice. I hope we get along a bit better.
