The Truth

Chapter 18:

We reached home and I told Alex about Jacob staying here. Everyone asked me who Jacob was and all I said was that he is a friend from back home. Since I didn't want to talk about anything that happened I just said it was a story for later.

"So which song are you gonna dance on?" Jacob asked as we sat on my bed.

"I haven't decided" is said switching my laptop on.

"So are you doing jazz funk or contemporary?" He asked since he knew I was really good at these dance forms.

"I can't choose so I'm gonna do a fusion" I said.

"Oh cool" he said.

"Okay so since I'm not going to sleep tonight you can sleep here cause I'll be practising in the garage" I said picking up my laptop and all the things I needed.

"No it's cool I'll sleep in the living room" he said helping me.

"I'm really not gonna sleep so just do as I say" I directed him.

"Okay okay. Chill" he said.

"I'm going to practice so do what suits you" I said and left the room.

I had my speakers, laptop, some food and water to keep me hydrated. Since I would die dancing in a hoodie I changed into white sweat pants and a black tank top. I tied my hair up in a pony tail and wore my dance shoes. I had selected the song 'Feel Me' by Selena Gomez. It was a slow track but not so slow that you can't dance to it. During the chorus the beat picks up and ill do jazz funk that time.

I started warming up and listening to the song again and again so I can get appropriate steps on it. By this time it was 9:00 pm.

"Hey Veronica come for dinner" Logan entered and saw me figuring out steps.

"Oh hey. I'm actually practicing so I'll eat later" I said.

"What are you practicing for?" He asked.

"There is an audition tomorrow at the university and I'm taking part in it" I said.

"Oh that's so cool. Do you want some help?" He asked.

"You know how to dance I asked?" Forgetting.

"Of course. I love dancing" he said.

"Well then why don't you take part?" I asked.

"Good idea but I have stage fright" he said scratching the back of his head.

"Aww so cute!" I said laughing.

"Hey! That's not fair!" He said.

"Actually even I have stage fright" I said.

"Then how are you doing this?" He asked.

"I came here to change myself and I think this is the first step towards this change" I said.

"Oh deep" he said sarcastically.

"Anyway if you really wanna take part then we can perform together" I said.

"That's a good idea"he said.

"Well then let's start" I said.

"Aye aye captain" he said and walked towards me.

"So the song is called feel me by Selena Gomez and I'm planning a fusion of jazz funk and contemporary" I explained.

"Sounds good" he said removing his jacket and placing it aside.

He warmed up and we started rehearsing. We planned to start with me dancing in the spotlight first and then he enters and we do lifts and all kinds of amazing things.
