The Truth

Chapter 4:

Was this really going to happen? Was he going to stay here for the movie?

"What's going on?" Isle asked angry.

"I don't know", I whispered to her.

The scene was really very awkward. I felt like he didn't care. He just stood there with his hands in his pockets and then she removed one hand out and put it behind Kristen's waist. Was he trying to make me jealous? Or was it just that he didn't care if I even existed anymore? I stared at them in anger not knowing what to say.

"Can we join?" , Kristen's voice got me back from my thoughts.

"Umm actually I- I" I stammered "okay" I said and Diana and Isle looked at me in shock.

"What's wrong with you?" Diana asked whispering next to my ear.

"I don't know" I replied totally confused. Why did I even say okay? What's wrong with me?

As I said okay now I cannot change my decision. I sat on the single sofa and Isle sat right besides me on a chair. Diana on the other hand had to sit bedside the love birds.

While we took our places we saw Jacob helping Kristen to get her coat off. I looked at them and I started getting flashbacks about how we were before.

"Hey you okay" Isle asked as she saw a tear rolling down my cheek.

"Yes" I said wiping the tear away.

"You don't deserve him" Diana said. "He is a jerk an-".

"Shut up" I cut her off. "He is not like that I know him there might be a reason behind whatever he is up to.

Diana looked at me stunned as if I had completely lost it. "Sorry" I said realising what I had said.

"Its okay" Diana replied.

While all this happened simultaneously the couple had sat down beside Diana behaving they were the only people in this house.

They were busy flirting around. They had their hands interlocked and they were literally sticking to each other and if I say literally sticking then that's too much. They were barely an inch away from each other. And when they were about to kiss I coughed, I coughed loudly to make them aware that they were not the only ones here.

"So should we start the movie?" I asked as I took the remote and sat back comfortably.

"Yeah" Kristen said keeping her head over Jacobs shoulder.

Ignore Veronica just ignore. Behave as if you don't care and just watch the movie. I said to myself.

We all sat talking except Kristen who had fallen asleep on Jacob's shoulder. I didn't much bother talking or looking at Jacob. We just talked to Isle or Diana.

After an hour Kristen woke up from her sleep because Isle screamed loudly as we started watching a horror movie and tried scaring her and it did work.

"What the hell is wrong with you'll" Kristen asked getting up.

We all kept laughing except Jacob who tried to calm her down my hugging her and trying to divert her mind from the movie as she hates horror movies because she is really scared of all that nonsense.

We watched the horror movie and then planned to go out for dinner. My mom was not going to be home for a while as she had to go out for some work and Hazel stayed at home but her boyfriend was going to come over so she will be in a another world with him while we go out and had dinner.

We got out of the house with our coats on as it was snowing outside. I was bright when we came out, I expected it to be dark but I was happy because I hate gloomy days or darkness.
