"Tom."

She called out for him, making he looked at her with an annoyed look. He was reading, and he didn't like it when people bug him. She grinned like nothing happened, and it made his anger disappeared.

"What is it?"

"Come here. I need your help."

He put his book down and plopped down on her bed, taking a place just next to her. She was lying on her stomach while working on a story, again.

"Yes, what can I help you, miss?"

He asked in a formal manner, making her laughed silently. He grinned and shook his head.

"What do you think about a girl who fall in love with the right man but at the wrong time?"

She asked. He put a hand on his chin and thought for awhile.

"Does she knows that he is the right person to fall in love with?"

He asked her back. She licked her now dry lips and shrugged.

"She knows, somehow. I just need your opinion on how she should react to the situation. Like 'maybe he is the right person but I can't do this now because it's not the right time', something like that."

He frowned at her explanation. But then a smile creeped on his face.

"What if a man fall in love with a person that he shouldn't at the wrong time, Y/N?"

The question slipped out of his mouth and he completely regretted it. He didn't know where it came from but he just asked it. She thought for awhile and smiled.

"I think he should tell her. Then they will together decide whether it is a good thing or a bad thing for them to be together. It is not fair if one of them keep the love alone."

She said, but then she felt like it was accurate to her feeling towards Tom. But she just shrugged that thought. Perhaps she didn't love him anymore, she wasn't sure.

"Should I tell her?"

Tom's feelings was battling against his mind and he couldn't decide. He didn't know when the love came along, but he was sure now that he loved Y/N. So much.

"Great! Now I have so much ideas. Thank you, Tom!"

She squealed and kissed his cheek. It was an usual gesture between them, but Tom felt something whenever they touched. He didn't like this new feeling, it tortured him.

"I'll be in my room if you need anything, Y/N."

He excused himself and smiled at her. He hated the new him; he was feeling love towards Y/N even he shouldn't. It was more painful to know that he couldn't be with her. Never.

His mind flew to another planet as he came into his room. He shut his eyes and the memories flashed back on his mind like a broken record.

"Tom!"

She cried out. He looked at her and noticed that she was a mess. Her eyes was red and puffy from crying. He winced at the sight and quickly threw his arms around her comfortingly.

"What happened, Y/N?"

His voice laced with concern. She looked up at him with watery eyes and shook her head.

"It's over, Tom."

"What?"

He squeezed her shoulders reassuringly. Tears streamed down her face like waterfall.

"Robert has left me."

She said almost in a whisper. Then she broke down again. He held her tightly against his chest and let her cried. He waited until she was ready to tell him everything.

"He said that he met someone else, and I'm just useless. He don't love me anymore."

Her voice cracked. Tom kissed the top of her head and hushed her. He knew how much the girl loved Robert, she would do anything for him. And it made his blood boiled when Robert hurt Y/N like this.

"He is useless, not you. Maybe he's not the one for you, Y/N. I know it's hard but you deserve someone who really cares about you."

Y/N was only 18 at that time and with Tom being older than her, he was always the one who comfort her.

"Thank you, Thomas."

"Anytime for my best friend."

He groaned and put his head in his hands. That was eight years ago, the last time Y/N ever dated anyone. She was afraid to love again after that.

Tom sighed heavily, maybe Sebastian was too special in her eyes until she opened her heart again to love a man. And he cursed himself for not noticing his love for Y/N all of this time.

Most of all, he was afraid; afraid that Sebastian might hurt Y/N. He knew how fragile she was. And he couldn't stand if someone break her down again.
