The sun has rise, waking up everyone in a glory morning. The air was so nice and breezy but not in Y/N's house, definitely.
There was no "Morning, Tommy!" from Y/N nor "Stop poking me!" from Tom. It was a painful silence, and they weren't sure if they should see each other after what happened last night.
It was unusual for Tom when he walked out of his room, looking around and noticed that Y/N wasn't in the kitchen. She wasn't there eating her breakfast or baking cupcakes. Once he stepped in the living room, the television screen was dark. There was no movies were played on screen with they both watching it together. There was no both of them throwing popcorn to each other faces like children.
No laughter but more tears.
It was hurtful to think that just a simple mistake could break the most unbreakable relationship, and Tom has realized it.
Why didn't he love her since the beginning? Why didn't he love her instead of Chloe? If only he loved her before, they won't get caught in this situation.
He brought himself to her room, and he was standing in front of her door. His heart was conflicted; whether he should knock or not. But then her soft voice got into his ears.
"Yes, Wilma. That sounds wonderful."
Y/N was talking to someone on her phone that he assumed the book publisher. She sounded alright, so he didn't knock. He didn't want to ruin her joy. She just reached a whole new level in her life, she should enjoy it and not thinking about him.
He sighed and shook his head, quickly got out of her house and walked to wherever his feet brought him. He could just disappear to wherever he wanted to, but walking took some time and he loved it. He wanted to kill time so as he arrived back home, maybe Y/N was already asleep.
His eyes wandered around as he walked at the park. He watched as people walked passed him but didn't see his existence.
Until his eyes caught a figure that he knew so well.
"Chloe?"
He stopped dead on his track and watched as Chloe sat on the bench near the pond. Her makeup was too thick to wear in the morning at the park and the smile on her face was almost like a smirk— how could he fell for her three years ago?
A man came over at her and sat beside the woman. As he did that, she kissed him on the cheek and giggled— a fake annoying giggle. He then gave her a genuine smile but she didn't smile back.
"Can we go shopping?"
She asked whilst pouted and the man gave her the look that 'We've Shopping Too Much I'm Losing Money' look. But she didn't care. She pulled his arm and got up. He forcefully followed her and Tom didn't even bother to know where they went.
Tom smiled sadly and shook his head. He fell in love with Chloe once, and it was a big mistake. Now he saw that woman as nothing more than just a woman, but three years ago he saw her as an angel.
If only he could see better. He would see his love for Y/N. He would tell his best friend how much he loved her so she won't walk away from him. And he won't get into the accident— and all of these bullshit won't happen.
"She doesn't love me anymore."
He whispered painfully, shutting his eyes tightly, his heart was ripping. He still didn't give his answer to 'The Death'.
Maybe it was time.

The door cracked open, and the first thing he saw was Y/N curled up in a ball on the couch. He was worried, so he went and looked at her.
"Tom?"
She was fine, and he breathed out of relief. There was no tears on her face and she was smiling at him. However, he didn't return her smile.
"I'm so sorry, Y/N."
He apologized. She shook her head and smiled sadly at him.
"No, I am sorry."
Tom looked at her and gave her a small smile.
"Then we both are sorry."
"Yes, I guess."
They laughed— but it was bitter and awkward. The atmosphere between them was so sad that the urge of tears was creeping out in both their hearts. But none of them would cry, they won't anymore.
They've accepted everything.
Y/N's phone rang, making both of them stumbled on their words. It was Sebastian who called her, and a smile grew wide on her face. Tom noticed that and started to walk towards his room, leaving her to talk with Sebastian.
"Hello? Yes, I'm Y/N L/N."
She let out a gasp. Tom turned around and looked at her. Her eyes pooled in tears as she dropped her phone from her hands. Her lips were trembling, and she shook her head slightly.
"Y/N, what's wrong?"
Tom asked as worries washed over him when he looked at her. A tear rolled down her face as her eyes met his. She stuttered before finally got her words out of her mouth.
"Tom, it's— It's Sebastian."
By now she was crying. Tom rushed by her side and held her against him as tears rolled down her face freely.
"What happened to him, Y/N?"
She looked up at him with red and puffy eyes.
"He's in hospital."
Tom was as shocked as her at the time. He didn't know what to say.
"Car crash. They told me he's losing time, Tom. I need to get there now."
She was panicking, but Tom quickly calmed her down and they went to the hospital right away.
