"Tom?"

Y/N called out, as soon as she walked into her home. She bit her lips, remembering how she hurt his feelings earlier today. Tom wasn't in the living room so the place that he could be in her house was his room, but he wasn't there too.

She sighed in disappoinment and blamed herself again. But then she remembered about the roof. Maybe he was there, so she quickly went.

She was right. Tom was sitting on the roof, a frown on his face. His eyes was looking at the night skies but she knew that his mind was in another planet.

"Do you mind?"

Her voice brought him back to the reality. He shook his head and smiled as Y/N sat next to him. Her presence there brought a broad smile on his face.

They sat there, eyes glued on the mesmerizing stars with the moonlight poured over them. It was a peaceful silence. But Y/N didn't like how silent it was, it made her guilt increased.

"I'm sorry, Tom."

She started. Tom looked at her and shook his head with a soft smile. She mentally screamed, how could he just smile after what she said to him? How could he be so kind towards her?

"Tom, I really am sorry. I know you're hurt by what I said. I didn't mean any of them, Tom. I don't know what has gotten into me but I want you to know that I could never live without you. I didn't mean to stop you from following me, instead I love it. I love it when you're my by side, Tom."

She finished her speech and waited for his response. He chuckled under his breathe and grinned at her.

"You don't have to be sorry, Y/N. It was my fault, not yours."

He said. She rested her head on his shoulder and shut her eyes. Tom relaxed under her touch and put his arm around her shoulder comfortingly.

"I'm sorry, Tom."

"Stop saying that, Y/N."

He laughed, making she laughed along with him. She opened her eyes and sighed happily. She was feeling safe, maybe because she was around Tom? She never knows.

Tom felt hot tears started to form in his eyes. Suddenly, he felt sad to know that he couldn't hold Y/N forever in his arms. Maybe he was close to her tonight, but he'll never know how long this moment could stay.

"I love you, Y/N."

He whispered under his breathe. He realized what he just said and quickly looked at Y/N, afraid if she might hear him. But he breathed of relief when he saw that she was asleep.

He cracked a smile and put her head on his lap, careful not to wake her up. He took a look at her beautiful face. She was perfect. But she will never believe him.

He always told her that she was so beautiful like an angel, but she will laughed and shook her head. She has never realized how perfect she was in his eyes. And he was a fool, because he noticed this when it was too late.

Tom carried Y/N to her room and tucked her into her bed. He was glad that he didn't wake her up in the process. He kissed her forehead softly before leaving to his room.

He just entered the room when he heard a voice. A croaky voice. Like the person suffered sore throat, but it kind of echoed in his ears.

"You're here because of her."

The voice said, making Tom looked around cautiously. A man came out of the dark with a smirk on his face. He was wearing a black suit- not just that, he was wearing all black.

"Who are you?"

Tom asked without any fear. He was a ghost, so why should he fear of that creepy man?

"I'm your death."

The mystery man laughed and his laughs was unpleasant. Tom shook his head, didn't get what the man exactly wanted.

"I'm not joking, Tom. Y/N is the only reason why you're here."

'The Death' said to Tom, a smirk still painted on his face. Tom frowned and hated the situation.

"What do you mean?"

Tom asked, he was craving to know the answer. He needed to know why he was back.

"She loves you, Thomas. And only her could bring you back to life again."

The Death said in a whisper. Tom was shocked to know that Y/N loved him, but he was even surprised when she could bring him back to life.

"Don't play games with me. She doesn't love me. And what do you mean by I could be alive back?"

The Death walked towards Tom, and he didn't back away from him. Tom didn't care even if he was his death or whoever he was- he needed answer.

"I'm your death so you could be breathing again as soon as I'm gone. And the decision whether I should vanish or not is in your hands."

Tom was puzzled, his mind was battling against his heart.

"It's your choice, Tom. Do you want to live again in this pathetic life or do you want to come back to your everlasting sleep?"

The Death said in a lower voice. Hopes grew back in Tom's heart as he knows that he could be him again. He could get a perfect life like he always wanted.

"But do you think Y/N still loves you? No offense, but I think she starts to love the man- what's his name, Sebastian? Yes, Sebastian!"

The Death was trying to play with Tom's mind as he made him more confused and trapped with the situation.

"Maybe being dead is the best choice than being alive but she doesn't love you while you love her so much."

The Death smiled sadly at Tom, but then cracked a smirk. Tom looked away from him, hated the fact that he was being influenced by The Death.

"Okay, it's time to go! Take your time and think whether you want to stay or go. But don't take too much time, you don't want to be a ghost forever, don't you?"

The Death chuckled darkly and shook his head in pity. As The Death started to fade away, Tom stopped him.

"What if I want to be alive back? Not now, but how?"

Tom asked. The Death flashed his evil grin.

"I could bring death to you and of course, I could bring life into you!"

He said proudly. Tom's questions were all answered but his heart was heavy. He didn't know what to do.

"Not just you, Tom."

The Death added.

"I'll come back when you're ready to take your life back or claim your death. Farewell for now, Thomas."

The Death smirked and vanished into the thin air. Tom looked around and realized he was all alone in his room. He sat on his bed and put his head in his hands.

"What just happened?"

His mind was a mess. The Death has told him too much things that he couldn't handle them all. And he was more concern that Y/N loved him. He didn't know if The Death played him or what- but for this time, he was glad.
