"I could save Sebastian."

The words rolled out of his tongue perfectly without any doubt. But Y/N scoffed at her best friend and shook her head.

"Please, Tom. I have no time for your jokes now."

She chuckled bitterly, upset that Tom was joking with her. Tom shook his head and looked her in the eyes. He needed her trust right now.

"Trust me, Y/N. I could save him. Then you could be with him, happy and safe."

He said, a soft smile creeped on his face. She swallowed and nodded weakly, signalling him to continue.

"I can't explain it to you because you won't understand. But please trust me on this one."

She licked her now dry lips and looked over at Sebastian in the ward room, then her eyes shifted back on at Tom.

"Okay, I trust you. How?"

She raised her eyebrows.

"I'll give him my life. He will survive, but then I will disappear. Forever."

It was painful for him to say that, but if it could make Y/N happy, he would do anything.

"What do you mean?"

Her eyes widen and she shook her head violently. Yes, she wanted Sebastian to live— but not to erase Tom out of this world.

"I had to go, Y/N. Sebastian is losing time. It's either me or him."

Tom smiled sadly at her. Y/N opened her mouth to say sonething, but then she just looked at her best friend without any words. She was shocked.

"I know you love Sebastian so much, Y/N. You both love each other and I won't be stopping you."

"But you'll be gone—"

Tom pulled her into his loving embrace, stopping her from saying anything. He couldn't help it. He didn't want to leave her, but it was for the best.

"I'm sorry, Y/N. Last time I left you alone, but now I'll leave you with Sebastian. Live a happy life with him then I'll be happy too."

His voice cracked but he tried to hold back the tears that pooled in his eyes. He caressed her face softly and chuckled.

"I love you, Y/N. Remember that."

He whispered before he planted a kiss on her forehead. A tear rolled down his pale face, and it broke her heart too. She started to cry when Tom hugged her again.

"Meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me, darling. I could never love you as much as he does, but my love is all yours. Even if I'm gone."

Y/N couldn't form any words out of her mouth. She was a crying mess.

"Miss Y/N!"

A nurse called out her name, making she turned around. The nurse gestured to Sebastian's ward room, making worry washed over her. She was going to leave before Tom caight her wrist.

"He will be fine, Y/N."

"Thank you, Thomas."

She smiled sadly at him. Tom returned the smile and nodded.

"When you come back, I'll be gone."

"Thomas—"

"Goodbye, Y/N."

He bid her goodbye, and she was going to stop him but then the nurse called out for her again.

"Sebastian."

She muttered under her breathe, and when she looked back at Tom; he was gone. Tom was not there. She was alone.

"Tom? No.."

She wanted to cry but then she quickly remembered about Sebastian. She ran into his ward room and saw the doctor was trying to save him.

"He will be fine."

Y/N mumbled and kept her faith together. Tom promised her, he gave Sebastian his life. She shut her eyes tightly and let the doctor did his job. Tears ran down her face like waterfall as everything came to her like a tornado.

She lost Tom, and now she was losing Sebastian.

"Miss Y/N."

The doctor came to her with a smile. She quickly scrambled on her feet and took a deep breathe.

"Sebastian is safe. He's stable now."

The doctor told her. She breathed of relief and thanked them.

"Don't thank me, miss. We thought that he couldn't be save, but then the impossible became possible. Your boyfriend is alive."

The doctor explained then excused hinself to leave. Y/N stood there, wasn't sure whether she should be happy or sad.

The impossible became possible; all of this because of Tom.

"Last time I left you alone, but now I'll leave you with Sebastian. "

Tom's words echoed on her mind, reminding her that she will never see him ever again. This time, he was really gone.

But she wasn't ready to say goodbye.
