Chapter 6

"Damn Zae... You don't know me no more.." I grabbed his arm and kept walking. "Hold up... Who she suppose to be Zae?" She said grabbing him again. I looked at him folding my arms. "This my girl.. What you want?" Then Tatyana and Marquel walked up. "What y'all doing here?" I said trying to take my mind off Zadarius and that girl. "Taking the kids to play. Who that hoe?" I laughed at Tatyana. "That's some girl that know Zadarius.. And what kids y'all got today?" "Girl my brother and his friends. Marquel work here now and he needed a ride." I nodded and then I heard the girl getting loud with Zadarius. "SO YOU GON LET THAT FAT BITCH TAKE MY SPOT!!!" I walked over there and stepped in front of Zadarius. "Hold up. Hold up. What's the problem?" She put her finger in my face and said, "Bitch you the problem.." I bit her finger. She drew it back and whined. Tatyana and Marquel busted out laughing. She swung like a windmill and hit me in the forehead. I start feeding her hits left and right. Then she fell. "Get up my nigga..." Tatyana ran over to me and pulled me back. Zadarius just watched. "Zae you just gon let her do this to me... I thought you loved me." She said spitting blood into her hand. "Bitch be gone!" I said while Tatyana dragged me to the car. "Come on y'all" she yelled to the kids. "No Tatyana.. I promised my baby Spiderman... COME ON ZADARIUS!!!" I looked around and didn't see him. "Maybe he left.." said Marquel. Then I saw his car pull up in front of us. I looked at Marquel and stuck my tongue out. He laughed and shook his head. "Get in the car Monta."

Monta got in the car and I did the same. We rode in silence. "Soo... Who was she?" He shook his head and kept driving. "I swear to God if you don't answer me Im going to punch you in yo' fucking face... Hello!!!" "She's my baby momma okay!" I wish I had laser vision. I took a deep breath and balled up my fist. He stopped the car and looked at me. "Look.. I know you mad about what she said bu.." I cut him off quick. "Fuck what she said.. Im pissed off because you didn't say shit! You just stood there like you didn't know what the fuck was going on. You could have at least took up for a nigga or something." I spoke at 100 miles per hour. "I was going to but you moved me out the way so you could speak. Don't jump down my damn throat because you didn't want me to say nothing. Shit.. But you mad at me. I'm not gon take too much more of yo lil funky ass attitude neither. GET OUT THE DAMN CAR!" My mouth dropped as he got out the car and slammed the door. Monta got out the car and opened my door. I looked at him and he hugged me. "Nanna.. I want to go home now." "I thought you wanted to see Spiderman?" He shook his head. "Can we get a bootleg?" I smiled. I grabbed his hand and we walked to where Zadarius was waiting for us. "Take me home..." He blew breath. "Alexus I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you and shit. I just felt like I wasn't wrong." He put his hands on my hips and pulled me to him. "Im sorry baby.. Denise look at me." I looked at him hard and snatched away. "I swear I didn.." I slapped him before he could even say anything else. I grabbed Monta hand and walked to a nearby bus stop. "Come on Monta." I said throwing him on my hip walking fast as I can.

I sat on the bus stop with my little brother and cried. I really thought I was going to be good with him. Monta sat there playing with his hands and I pulled out my phone.

Text Messages:

Zadarius: Alexus I swear I didn't mean that..

Zadarius: Alexus don't be like this.. You already slap the shit out of me. That should me payment enough.

Zadarius: Can we discuss this please....

Zadarius: Call Me

Zadarius: At least let me take you home.        just now

Alexus: I Guess...

"Come on Monta..." He looked up and grabbed my hand. I picked him up and put him on my hip. As I walked to where Zadarius parked I second thought this because I was kind of scared that he might hit me back when I got in the car. Monta didn't look so sure neither.

I put Monta in the backseat, buckled him up then got in. I pulled on my seatbelt and Zadarius just looked at me. "Are you going to take me home or not?" "I want to say sorry Alexus... But your acting like my baby momma. All she did was yell and when I said something she would act all mad and stuff like you was doing. Then, she left me because she said my attitude is too bad and I really want to make this right with you.. Work with me Alexus..."  Just as I was about to answer him my phone rang.

Conversation:

Alexus: Hello?

Tatyana: I just saw you at the bus stop. Where you go that fast?

Alexus: Im talking to Zadarius right now...

Tatyana: Oh well damn. Call me if you need me. You know I'll kill a nigga over you.

Alexus: Hahahaha.. Ight baby. I will call you when I make it home.

I hung up the phone and looked at Zadarius who's temper was rising. "Now.. What was the last thing you said?" "Nevermind.." He crunk up the car and we drove him in silence. Never had I wanted somebody to talk to me so bad. "Talk to me..." he said. "What do you want me to say?" "I want you to say that you want to be with me.." I shook my head and stared out the window. "I want to make it work.. But I need somebody that's going to be there for me when I need it. I need a backbone..." "I can be that... Give me one more chance." I looked out the window in concern. God knows I want this boy. "Alright... Zadarius if you fuck me over I promise I'll make you dig your own grave... You think you been through some stuff. You ain't seen shit yet... Take me home." Now I wasn't the only one who was nervous about this relationship.
