Chapter 27

When we walked in, it felt just like old times. Except now I have a baby hanging on the front of me. I sat my bags on the table and walked through the metal detector. Jashon ran to me and grabbed my belly. "Hey babbbyyyyyy" she said hugging me. "Where the hell you been?" said Dedrea standing right next to her. I laughed. "Didn't want to come... Look at me." I said flopping my arms as we walked down the hallway. Dedrea smiled and rubbed my belly. Tatyana kinda fell behind talking to Kebo. Mr. Jordan grabbed me and smiled. "Is this why I haven't seen yo' pretty face? I heard what happened and I been praying for you everyday." I smiled at his concern. "Maybe that's why I'm doing so good." I said walking in class. "Sit at my desk Alexus." he said into the door. I nodded and walked over to his chair. I sat down and fell in love. My back had been hurting and this chair was perfect. "I ain't get to sit in his chair when I was pregnant," one girl whispered to another. "That's probably his baby... I heard she was a hoe," the other girl said. I looked up and giggled. "Don't let this belly fool you... Ima drop in a few weeks so I'll be ready to fight whoever," I said then looking back down at my phone. The class bust out laughing at the girls. Mr. Jordan always kept snacks in his desk so I leaned back and opened every drawer. After about four drawers, I finally found the jackpot. It was full of chips, candy, and juices. I took two bags of Doritos, a Kit Kat, and a juice. He had been standing behind me while I was taking it out. I turned my chair and the class laughed. I did too. "You lucky I like yo baby. Not you but the baby." I laughed and opened the chips. "Okay class... Pull out your books and turn to page 398." Mr. Jordan said sitting on his desk. "Mr. Jordan I have a question," one of the girls that happened to be talking about me said. "Yes Pinky.." "Is she pregnant by you? Cause when I was pregnant I ain't get to sit at yo desk.." Mr. Jordan laughed. "That's because you chose to get pregnant not her.. And no it's not my baby. Back to work," he said smiling back at me but I had a mug on my face so strong he just turned back around. "May I ask why y'all worried bout my baby?" My attitude was through the roof now. "Oh so y'all deaf now? Okay..." I stood up and walked to they table. "Excuse me.. I was talking to y'all." I guess one girl got mad. "Damn yo ass on my paper..." "Bitch so..." I said looking in her face. "Sooo, y'all gon' answer my questions or not?" One girl spoke up in anger. "You took my man and I don't like you. That's why I called you a hoe. That's why Im worried 'bout yo' baby. Anything else?" she said looking crazy. I laughed. "First off... Who is yo' man?" "Allen... He's my babydaddy." I laughed a little harder. "See.. the difference between us is that Im his woman and your his baby momma, which means your nothing more than the mother of his baby. This is petty. You need to worry about your baby. Allen ain't buying her stuff; I am. Allen don't even believe that's his baby... Get yourself together first." I said getting up and walking off. "But he was at my house last night.." she said trying to get attention. I pulled out my phone and showed her a picture of Allen kissing my belly from last night. "Nah shawty.. You wished he was." I smiled and walked back to Mr. Jordan's desk.

As the day went by, I did a little work and played on my phone. When the bell rang for lunch I walked in the lunch room and saw this boy I use to have a relationship with. I tried my best to ignore him but he walked right up to me. "What the fuck is this?" he said flipping my shirt up. "Albert leave me alone..." I said going to sit down. He followed. "I asked you a question.. You know what nevermind. It's not my business no more." I shrugged and he walked off. "Baby girl you want lunch?" said one of the hall monitors. I shook my head no and smiled. Jashon and Dedrea came and sat on the sides of me. "Hey Alexus." they said in unison. I smiled. "Hey y'all.." Tatyana came and sat right in front of me. As I was  talking to them I felt hands on my belly. I looked back and it was Allen. I hoped up and smiled. "Baby what you doing here?" I asked. "Diane called and said y'all was arguing so I brought my youngin' up here to beat her up. I told the officers we was bringing you lunch." I laughed. "Well where my lunch?" Allen gave me a Chipotle bag. "I love you so much.." I said giving him a kiss. He laughed and said,"Just 'cus I brought you food..." Everybody laughed. "Umm. Who is this young man?" Jashon said with Dedrea co-signing. "Im Allen, Alexus' man." Allen said before I could even speak up. They smiled and gave me a thumbs up. "Well you know if you bring one food then you have to bring all food..." Dedrea said. "It's some soft tacos in there if baby feel like sharing." I had been sat down and started eating. They looked at me and laughed. But our laugh was cut off by the girl Pinky. She grabbed Allen arm and I grabbed the other. "You thought.." I said trying to stand up fast." Allen I need to talk to you.. Its about Armani." He looked at me and I let him go. Tatyana said she was going to watch them so I sat back down and continued eating.

About ten minutes later he came back with a look on his face that I had never seen. "Baby.. Baby you okay?" I said pulling his face to mine. I tear fell from his face. I pulled him to me as he cried in the middle of the lunch room. "She gone baby.. She gone..." he whispered through sobs. "Who's gone?" I said. He only cried.
