Chapter 5

I put on some black tights, a Versace shirt with a lion on it, and some black Versace shoes Zadarius bought me. I looked in the mirror and smiled. I left my hair wild and curly. "Girl you are a dime." For me to be a heavy set girl, I look pretty damn good. "Nanna... Somebody at the door." I grabbed a black clutch purse, my phone, my keys, and walked to the door. I opened it and Zadarius looked heated. "Baby.. What's wrong?" He shook his head and plopped on the couch. I walked over and sat on his lap. "Monta go to your room for a minute." He nodded and walked to his room. I tilted Zadarius' face up. "What's wrong?" He hesitated at first. "One of my suppose to be homeboys tried to rape my sister..... My baby sister. She my everything and one of my suppose to be niggas tried to rape her." A tear ran down his face. "When you find out?" "When I got off the phone with Monta." I couldn't say anything. I wiped his tears and hugged him. "Temptation is lingering but emotions won't let you see the important things. Be patient because everything happens for a reason..." He looked at me confused. "All that means is I know you want to hurt him but your heart is not going to let you.. Be patient he is going to get his." He nodded and pulled me in for a kiss. "Thank you baby." I smiled. "Come on Monta." I stood up off Zadarius' lap and walked to the door. "I meant to tell you that you look good as hell... I like that Versace thing you got going. Versace Versace I guess." I laughed and he walked out the door.

"Where we going Zadarius?" Monta said happy as I don't know what. "Where you want to go?" Zadarius said smiling. I zoned out. "Have you ever wanted one of these big houses?" I asked out of the blue. "Ummm... Yes when I was younger but my family was poor. Now that I have money I don't want to be in that big house by myself." I nodded in agreement. Then Hate That I Love You by Rihanna came on. I looked straight at my phone because for some strange reason I thought about Marquel. This was weird for me. "I want to ask you something but I think it's a little early.." Zadarius said pulling me out of my thoughts. "Go ahead.." He smiled. "Well... I was thinking about how you told me that you was struggling to pay rent and I was wondering if you wanted to move in with me?" That shocked me. Then I thought of Marquel again. If I leave I won't be able to see him. "My house is already paid off. I just don't know right now Zadarius.." "Okayyy well the offer will remain open til your ready." I smiled and turned my head back out the window.

When we stopped we was at Amazing Jake's. Monta was in the backseat going crazy. "Hey lil man. Isn't your birthday Sunday?" "How you know?" Zadarius laughed getting out the car. Monta was next. I sat there for a minute then decided to get out. Zadarius pulled a box out the car. Monta put it on the ground and tore it open. It was a True Religion outfit and a Trukfit outfit. He know my baby like clothes. Monta's face lite up. He start crying. "Awwww Monta.." He ran to Zadarius' legs and hugged him. "Thank you..." "You welcome Monta. Pick it up and put it in the car. I'll give you the other present later on." He nodded and did as he was told. Zadarius walked towards me. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Thank you.." He smiled and kissed me. "Heyyy.. Get off my sister." We laughed and walked into the place. "Wait wait wait.. I got to let you floss." Zadarius' pulled out a stack and put like $200 in twenties on Monta chest. Monta looked at the money and start feeling on it. "Ohhh snap stank.. You balling!" He laughed.

When we walked in Monta start running to the games. "Heyyy! Stay in sight!" He nodded and ran back to the games. I sat at a nearby table and watched as Monta ran from game to game to game. "Hello ma'am.. My name is Nancy and I will be your waiter. Would you like to order anything?" Zadarius answered before I even got my words out. "Yes. Can we have one large pepperoni pizza and what kind does Monta like?" "Hamburger." "And a small Hamburger and one small Canadian Bacon." He looked at me. "You don't want to play games?" I shook my head no. "I want to ask you something but Im a little scared." "Just say it.." He took a deep breath and, "Well... Your already mine so I just.. Well I..." "Spit it out..." "I want you and Monta to move with me." I shook my head. He had already asked me this in the car. He must be serious about this. "You really want to move with you huh?" He nodded looking down at his hands. "How about I make you a deal?" He looked up. "Give me another month or two.." "Pick.. One or two.." I laughed. "Okayy two months and I promise Monta and I will pack our stuff and move with you.. Long as you don't bring your work around Monta..." He smiled and walked over by me. He stood me up and kissed me. "Thank you baby." I smiled and hugged him.

About ten minutes later Monta ran to the table. "Nanna this my pizza?" He said grabbing a plate. I smiled and nodded. He started stuffing his face and Zadarius watched. "Stop staring at my baby.." He laughed and shook his head. "When we leave we'll go to the movies or something.." "We can go see Spiderman?" "Bae... Is it cool we go see Spiderman?" I nodded. I smiled at the thought of them getting along so well. Nobody really wants to deal with me after they meet or figure out that I take care of Monta. "Nanna I go play some more?" "I thought you wanted to go see Spiderman?" "Let's go then." I laughed and we all stood up. As we walked out the door a girl grabbed Zadarius by the arm. My face turned something wild.
