*About Three Months Later*

Alexus' POV

*Three months ago I accepted a warehouse to start my own business. Now I am the biggest female drug dealer in South Dallas. Now this might come as a shocker, being that I've just started. But I been around it too long. I have 23 workers and 4 main niggas. Tatyana and I recently moved into a two story house in Garland and we have everything we need. I believe Im on my shit.*

"Alexus you coming to the doctor with me?" Tatyana screamed from the other room. "Duhh... Im trying to get ready." I said putting on my sandals. I put on my navy blue and white striped skater skirt and white wife beater. I stood up off the bed and Monta ran in the room. "Nanna, Tyddie took my fruit snacks." I just start laughing. "Baby I'll get you some more when we go to the store." I said making him smile. Then I heard a knock on the door but no one I know knows where I live.

I looked through the peep hole and saw no one. Then the window next to the door shattered. A brick came through with a letter attached to it. 'Your Shine Will Soon Dim' I grabbed my black nine from under my table by the door and looked around outside. In front there was a red corvette. BANG BANG BANG! I shot out the two back tires and window. The car ran into a light pole! I walked over to see who it was. One dude was a worker of mine. He laid dead in the back seat. The two in the front were unknown. I pulled out my phone and called my top dawg AK.

*conersation*

AK: What up Boss?

Alexus: Somebody trynna dead me... Marcus one of em'. He dead now but call a meeting in 2 hours.

AK: Damn.... What happened?

Alexus: I'll let you know at the meeting. Just make that shit happen for me.

AK: Bet...

*end of conversation*

Soon as I got off the phone Tatyana ran outside. "What happened? Is that Marcus?" "I think he tried to set me up... Come on so I can get you to the doctor." She agreed and went back in the house to get Monta and our purses.

Tatyana's POV

Alexus and I just got settled and somebody looking for her. This girl been my sister since 8th grade. We've done everything together! We planned after the baby we both going back to school to finish our last year. Right now, Im just focused on my family's safety. I guess that's motherhood kicking in already. Alexus was just so calm like what happened at the house didn't happen. "Tyddie why you just looking at me?" she said breaking my thoughts. "How are you so calm?" I said blankly. "That's part of the game. I chose to live this life and I've learned that the best way to stay lowkey is to stay in yo' own lane.... I ain't crossed nobody. Marcus got fucked up one time cus' he was stealin' my money. After that he was pretty much just straight working. I never thought he'd cross me." I sat back and thought. I always had ideas of Marcus being sneaky. I saw him with Zadarius about a week ago. "You think Zae after you? I mean you did take all his business." I said as the car came to a stop. "I try to keep him off my mind... Plus Im not worried. So don't you start worrying. My baby gon' come out messed up and Ima' kick yo' ass." she said smiling. I start laughing and got out the car, grabbing Monta's hand.

When we walked in the doctor's office I was just too nervous. This was a doctor Alexus had when she was pregnant. His name was Dr. Darren Smith. "Y'all go sit down and I will sign us in." Alexus said smiling. Monta and I picked up some magazines and sat down.

About ten minutes later I heard my name being called. I stood up and walked through the glass double doors. "Room 4 ma'am." the short white lady said. I walked in the room and sat on the bed. "Nervous much?" Alexus said laughing. "No.... Kinda.. Yes bro! I wish Justin was here." I said making a sad face. "I already text him and he should be here in a minute... You gon' see what it is or do you want it to be a surprise?" she said making me smile. "Ima' just see what it is." I said. Then Justin walked in. I jumped off the table and ran into his arms. "Where the fuck you been?" I said muffing him. "Damn Tyddie. I was at work... Where I go everyday." he said making us laugh. After a few minutes passed a man walked in with a long white lab coat on. He was tall, brown skinned, and lawdddd was he fine. "Hello everyone. Heyyyy Alexussss." he said hugging her. I aint even gon' lie, I got a little jealous. "You must be the lucky lady, Tatyana Simmons." I nodded and he got straight to business. "Okay, here is your prenatal vitamins prescription. I want to see you every two weeks and basically when you come we're going to check the baby's heart rate and have a look at it. Then we're going to make sure your healthy and eating rate. But Im sure Alexus will keep you healthy." We all laughed. "Now lets have a look.." I lifted my shirt and laid back. Justin looked so nervous. He grabbed my hand and smiled. Then they put that cold ass jelly on my stomach. "Okayyy... There it is. There's the head.. That's a hand.... Would you like to know what it is?" I nodded and he looked around some more. "Okayy... There she is. Say hello to your baby girl." Justin and I smiled so hard. I looked over at Alexus and she had tears in her eyes. "Alexus.... You want to name her?" A tear fell and she said,"Rebekah Trinity Woods." "I love it..." I said making her smile. "Would you guys like pictures?" Dr. Smith said. I nodded.

Alexus' POV

"Tyddie you riding home with Justin?" I said as we walked out the bathroom in the building. I changed into some army cargo pants, a red muscle tee, and some red Chuck Taylor's. She nodded and I said,"Well can y'all take Monta with y'all while I go to this meeting." Tyddie grabbed Monta hand and hugged me. "Be careful baby." Tatyana said before letting go. "I will... Love y'all. Monta... Nanna love you." I said kissing his forehead. Then they got into Justin's car and burnt off. I got in my car and did the same.

When I pulled up to the warehouse I saw AK standing outside smoking a black and mild. I parked and he walked up to my door. I got out and he handed me a blunt and a bag of money. "Everybody in there... I went ahead and collected the money and put em' on some mo' work." I nodded and threw the bag in the backseat. "Let's get this shit done with." I said walking up to the front door. When I walked in everybody was talking and laughing. "AYE!!!!" I said making everybody shut up. "Look... This morning Lil Marcus tried to threaten me. Im sure y'all know or AK told y'all that nigga done wit... I called this meeting because I want to know who he did it for. Dont stop working but find out who did the shit.." I said sparking the blunt. "Now that's over with. My Northside boys... Y'all been on y'all shit. Keep it up. Same to y'all southside. Eastside.... Where Qua at?" I looked around and my boy CJ spoke up. "He got locked.. The East had a raid and he got caught. That's why our profits low." I nodded and walked to the back where I stash the money. "Y'all lucky it's pay day... AK, come pay them for me." "Ight but don't leave yet. I got to talk to you." I nodded and went to sit down.

An hour passed and AK walked up and sat next to me. "What's happenin'?" I said looking through my phone. "I was wondering if you wanted to chill next weekend? My lil nigga birthday Saturday and Im having him a lil party and he want Demonta to come." AK son was the cutest thang and he always calling me his girlfriend. "Sure... How old my boyfriend turning?" "Pedafile... But he turning five. He make me feel so old and Im only twenty one." I start laughing. "Im only seventeen... Monta is four. Now I feel old..." He smiled. "Alexus, Im not even gon' lie. I want you. I understand you got a lot going on but I could keep you calm. Well we can talk about it at the party. Hold on.." he said answering the phone. "Hello... What's up lil man?... She said what?.. Im on my way.... I gotta' go Alexus." "Whats poppin'?" I said looking at his face. "My babymomma talkin' shit to my son about me... Got him cryin' and shit. You wanna' ride wit me?" I nodded. "Y'all get to work!"
