Chapter 22

When I came out Tatyana and Monta were talking about the baby. "What's wrong?" She said whining down their laughter. "Girl Dr. Gotu done told Darren that we mess around but he just got married not too long ago... I don't even mess with him like that though." I was a little confused. Tatyana shrugged and kept playing with Monta. I sat back and looked at a magazine.

"Alexus Peters." A tall nurse said. I stood up and walked to the door. She smiled and pointed to where I was suppose to go. Tatyana and Monta followed behind. I walked in and sat on the table. I was looking at my phone to see if I had any missed calls or texts. "You okay?" Tatyana said rubbing my arm. "Yea I'm fine.." Then the doctor came in.

"You know the routine Alexus..." Darren said smiling. "Well... No pain or nothing. Its becoming more active by the day. That's pretty much it." He nodded and wrote on his notepad. "Okay... Lay back and lift your shirt." I nodded and laid back. I looked over at Tatyana and she was looking at Darren, biting her lip. I shook my head as the lights dimmed. When the jelly hit my stomach my baby just wouldn't stop moving. My heart warmed up every time it did that. I took a deep breath and turned my head towards the screen. At that moment I knew that I was about to be on a grind until that little person gets here. "You want to know what it is?" Dr. Darren said pulling me out my thoughts. "Yes.." I said hesitating at first. My baby was being hard headed and didnt want us to see. "Come now. Don't be like that.." the doctor said watching the screen. Finally my baby opened it's legs and there was two big balls. "Oh my... It's a boy." I smiled big as I dont know what and covered my mouth. "Wow.." I said taking a deep breath. "You want pictures?" he said. I nodded keeping my eyes on the screen.

As we walked to the car, I immediately start thinking of names for my king. "Sooo.... What you going to name him?" Tatyana said pulling me out my thoughts. I smiled. "Either King Nehemiah Kirkland or D'Quaylan Jajuan Kirkland..." Tatyana cut her eyes at me for the last name. Little did she know, since the line up AK and I have gotten together. It's been low key but that's my man now. He's already made it clear that he is going to help me with the baby so no worries on my end. Since I've been down he has taken control like a right hand man supposed to. I'm actually proud of this pick. "Am I missing something?" she said still staring. "Yea.. Me if you don't get me out this heat..." She laughed and unlocked the doors. I got in the car and rubbed my belly.
