* ok so first off, hi. second off this is my first official book and its not the best but i have enjoyed writing it and i hope you guys will enjoy reading it, okay bye. btw above is Selina.*
The last memory I have of Gotham was how dark it was. I guess that's why I always loved Britain, it reminded me of home. Despite the fact the last time I was truly able to call Gotham my home was when I was sixteen.
I still remember the high pitched sounds of the sirens as I was holding my blood covered mother and my father's cold limp hand.
I shook my head as my thoughts went back to that horrendous night. I looked back out the window at the eerie city and smiled as I knew this would be a new beginning. I looked at the driver. "How much longer until we reach the apartment?" He looked back at me with a thoughtful look on his face and answered back with a gruff voice. "Probably around fifteen to twenty minutes ma'am."
I nodded my head and looked back out at the city. We drove down the cleaner side of Gotham, which is hard to do if I'm honest, and I still saw the normal homeless junkies you'd see in the dark alleyways. I jumped as I heard my phone go off and I look down to see my old friend, Selina had texted.
Lizzy Hyde, you better hurry up before I leave your ass to unpack alone ~kittycat
I giggled at my friend's impatience and quickly typed back.
Chill your tits Cat, I'm just around the corner, can't wait to see you ~lizbug
I put my phone in my blue purse as we rounded the corner. the driver parked in front of the apartment complex. I quickly jump out, happy to be out of the godforsaken car, and look around for Selina.
All of a sudden there was a thud behind me on the car and I turned around to see Selina's slim frame on the roof of the taxi crouched and smirking. Her hair was black, cut short and straightened but now a bit messed up.
"What took you so long bitch?" Selina jumps down as she says it and I roll my hazel eyes at her. "Well, one, the airport was crowded; and two, if I'm a female dog, shouldn't you hate me? I mean you are a cat." She smirks at my stupid joke and hugs me tightly and sighs, "it's been too long." I smile wide and pull back as I see the taxi driver getting my bags out. "Well don't expect me to leave anytime soon, I'm here to stay now."
I grab two of my bags as Selina grabs the other two and we begin to walk inside the building. "Is that a threat or promise?" Selina smirks as we walk to the elevator and I put the key in the lock and pressed for the top floor. As the doors close I wink at her and giggle, "that's a promise, love."
As we started going up I hummed to the elevator music until I noticed Selina staring at me. I smirk as I dramatically sigh, "I know I'm fabulous, cat but staring is rude." I flip my long, curly blond hair as she just laughed heartily. She sighs and speaks softly. "You do look muy fabuloso but I was just taking in how much you've changed. I mean you have gotten curvier but yet your still a midget." She laughs as I punch her in the shoulder. She's right though, I've barely grown taller since sixteen, I'm only 5'4. Selina, on the other hand, is around 5'7 and is a beauty, her blond/brown curls are gone from when she was younger but her innocent face is still there along with her hazel eyes.
I look her up and down and giggle " at least I still don't dress like I'm about to rob a place." She smirks as the doors open and says "old habits die hard."
When I look into the apartment my jaw drops. It's huge, with windows lining the left wall, as you walk in there is a step down into a living room with a flat screen and across from the elevator, there is an amazing open kitchen, all steel.
I walk in to see a dining room next to the living room. There's double doors behind the table and a door next to the kitchen and behind the living room. I walk to the double doors and look in to see a room with a bunch of cabinets and my art supplies then I walk to the other door to see my bedroom.
The walls are black and my bed is red and king size. I jump on the bed and smile into the covers when I hear a voice. "Yo so should I go so you can have your alone time with the place because you seem to love it so much. Or should I stay to help you unpack?" She's smirking and I roll onto my back and giggle. " get your ass over here." She laughs and jumps on the bed next to me and Selina turns on her side to look at me. "Better than Britain?"
I giggle and get up and slap her thigh. " better with friends." I go to grab my bags and starts putting things away and Selina sighs." That reminds me. You remember jack?" I think for a second, smiling as I think of the kid with messy brown hair and beautiful blue eyes and I look back at Selina. "How could I not, we became friends with him when we were, what 6?" She giggles and stands up, "well how about we surprise him? I'm not that much of a fan of him nowadays, but I know how close you two were, and I kinda wanna celebrate you coming home by getting drunk and he has a club so hey."
She shrugs as she says the last part and I giggle and shake my head. A picture of him when he was 13 surfaced in my head, his piercing blue eyes and that goofy smile he always had around us. I missed him and thought to myself why not. "Do you think he'll remember me?" She smirks and jumps up, "dress and shoes are in the closet, hurry up and get ready! Oh and he doesn't go by jack anymore!" I roll my eyes, of course, she already planned this. I push the last bit of cloths in the Chester drawer and sighs as I look at the closet.
