"I still don't see why we had to stop to get a plant." Cat mumbles as we walk up the stairs of an abandoned apartment complex. "I always got her lillies for her birthday, this is a sweet reminder."
I smile wide as we finally get to a hallway that is covered in what seems to be vines. I hesitate but follows cat to the door. She knocks surprisingly and the door slams open. "Selina, didn't expect to see you tonight." I'm in awe as I hear the sultry voice of the women in front of me. She's green, with bright red hair and a one piece of what seems to be leaves.
Pamela, or should i say Poison ivy looks at me and her green eyes go wide, "lizzy? Is that you?" I nod but smile as I hold out the flower. "A gift, it's good to see you again pammy." She giggles at the old name and takes the plant from my hand and smiles. "Its beautiful thank you. Come in, oh and warning." Before she could continue a high pitched, brooklyn like accent, somewhat familiar voice comes from inside, "Hey red where's ya makeup?" I look inside to see the girl from the club with bruises on her face, legs, and arms. She's wearing a red nightgown and her hairs up in pigtails. As she sees us she smiles and runs to hug selina. "Kitty, I missed you. Heyyy your the girl from the club, you have great tatse."
I'm very overwhelmed and just standing there like a statue and smiling. Cat pushes her and me inside and I stumble as she says "harley don't scare the poor girl." I look to Pam and she just rolls her eyes and motions towards the couch, "please take a seat, tea? Coffee?" I mumble out tea as I sit down shyly. The girl who I'm guessing is harley jumps on the couch next to me and smiles widely. "I'm harley, harley quinn, nice ta meetchya." She holds out her hand and I take it and shyly answeres, "lizzy, lizzy hyde." She smiles as we shake hands and I can tell she's observing me. "Your new, that's cute. Be careful with kitty cat over there, she bites." Harley bites at the air as she says it then giggles. I look towards Pam and selina over at the kitchen and they are just staring and giggling. I look to harley and she's looking me up and down. "So, harley, how do you know j, I mean joker?" I felt the tensness in the air and harley smiles as if nothing's wrong. "He's my puddin, how do you know Mr. J?" I look to Pam and cat and they are shaking their heads no and harley pulls my face towards her like j did the day I first saw him again. "Don't listen to them, how do ya know my puddin?" I go tense and look at her, "we use to be friends." She doesn't seem happy with the answer and Pam walks in with the tea,
"Don't bug the poor girl, all she knows is how he use to be, not how he is now." Pam winks at me and I look at harley and she sighs, "was he always mean?" I look in shock as I realize why she has those bruises. I go to touch a bruise on her cheek but she grabs my wrist and angrily growls "what the hell are ya doin?!" A tear rolls down my eye as I take in how broken she is. "He did this?" I hear cat sigh as she walks towards me slowly, "lizzy calm down." All of a sudden everything goes red. I'm pissed. The boy who was so sweet and innocent beats women. I get up and rush towards the door but vines cover it and wrap around me and I scream, "let me go! How fucking dare he!!" I'm squirming and you can tell everyone's in shock.
Selina comes up to me and looks at me "calm down, you go there he'll blow your brains out. Harleys safe here it's okay." I calm down slowly and look over at harley and she's in a bit of shock. Ivy finally let's me go and I stumble a bit as I breath slowly. " I'm sorry, I, I don't know what came over me." Everyone looks at each other and I go sit back down. "I'm sorry harley. And to answer your question, no he was never mean."
Pam and cat go to the kitchen to talk and harley hugs me. "Thank you." I hug back and cat comes over to me and whispers in my ear, "your staying here tonight. You don't have work tomorrow I called bruce." I nod my head and Pam walks over to me. "Let me show you to a room."
I follow her to a door and as you walk in you can tell she knocked down a few walls to make the place bigger. She walks me to a room that seems only touched by lavender plants hanging from the ceiling. There's a pretty big sized bed in the middle of the room and a door leading to what I'm guessing is a bathroom.
"Take a shower then get some sleep, there's some of Harleys cloths to wear to bed. Sleep well" I smile and hug her, "thank you, and it's amazing to see you again." Once she leaves I go to the bathroom and shower. Once I get out most of the blue from my hair is gone and I just feel and look exhausted. I get dressed in booty shorts and smallish tank top I'm guessing is Harleys and get in the bed. How did everything go so wrong. The boy I loved is gone, my friends are all villains, I feel like I'm losing myself and I can't remember some things. Yes, I just realized I don't remember certain details of my childhood. Like what happened after that night where they found j? What were my parents like like? What all went wrong? I finally close my eyes and sleep another nightmare filled night.
