Clare's POV

I'm in a cave, it's pitch black. Am I dreaming again!?!? I walk around a bit to hear a raspy voice.

This will be the end. You will fall one way or the other.

"What are you talking about? Who are you?" I ran toward the voice (not the best decision) the deeper I got, the worse I felt. I finally found something.

So persistent, if only you knew what was in store for you.

"What is going to happen?"

Someone important will take their life for yours.

"Who are you?!" I screamed as I tried to attack it.

NO!

I stopped in my tracks, who was that? Suddenly, I couldn't breathe. My life was hanging by a thread!

I awoke with a start. I thought about what the voice said this time. 'Someone important will take their life for yours.' Is it Jake? Or someone else? I made myself calm down and went to the pavilion as everyone started to arrive. I saw Rayn and Savannah sitting on one of the couches and decided to join them. Rayn was wearing jean shorts, and her blue camp t-shirt. Savannah had the cutest top and shorts on. As I got closer, Rayn didn't look so good.

"Hey, how are you guys?" I asked.

"I'm fine, how about you?" Savannah responded.

"Alright, I guess. Rayn, are you okay?" She didn't respond, she looked deep in thought.

"Rayn!"

"What? OH, hey."

"You okay, yeah. I need to, um, talk to Chariclo." She ran out of the pavilion and to the archery area.

"What's wrong with her?" I asked Savannah.

"She had a strange dream, it freaked her out bad enough that she woke me up. We've been up since about two."

"I see, what's for breakfast." What did Rayn dream about? Anyways, Jake didn't come out of his cabin yet. He must have stayed up a bit late. I went to the sword arena, and found Jake there fighting a hung dummy. Around him were more tattered dummies. His eyes were red and blood shot. I instead decided to go to. the archery range. Rayn had her bow in hand and a shaft full of arrows. As I approached, she notched an arrow, took aim, and fired. By the time I got there, she got the arrow right in the center.

"Nice shot."

"Thanks."

"Sure you're not related to Apollo?" We both laughed at that a bit.

"Where is Jake anyways?"rayn asked.

"Looking real tired at the sword arena."

"Oh." I watched Rayn as she made another shot. I decided to examine her build. She had high cheekbones and a medium build. She looked liked a leader.

"What happened, in your dream?" She froze mid shot.

"I would rather not talk about it." When Rayn shot, she looked deep in thought. Savannah came at that exact moment. She got this look in her eyes.

"You're thinking of something?" She asked. Rayn lost her concentration and shot at a tree.

"No. Why? Did it look like I was?"I asked.

"Who are you thinking of?" Sav asked again.

"Jake." I replied feeling defeated.

"Hmmm.... Why are you thinking of your brother, Rayn?" Savannah pushed.

"Because, he has been really distracted lately."

"About what?" I asked.

"I'm assuming some girl..." Rayn said as she shot another arrow.

"Strange..." I replied. Gods of Olympus, I was blushing.

"I'm not sure where he was last night, but he didn't come back for awhile. I asked him about it and he said he needed to think. That's probably why he was at the sword arena." Then she went back to shooting like it was nothing. Savannah laughed silently to herself. Does she know?

"Go for it." that was all Rayn said as she walked away with her bow and quiver on her back.
