Second Year: Victory

Harry was right. The entrance to the Chamber of Secrets was in Myrtle's bathroom. Professor Lockheart wanted to run away, but the three of you stopped him. You all went through the tunnel, hoping you would end up in the Chamber.

"I don't like this", you say, looking around you. Harry walks along the tunnel, and you follow him.
"Remember, any sign of movement, close your eyes straightaway."
You nod and continue to follow him. Harry first, then you, then professor Lockheart and then Ron. You have absolutely no idea where you're going. The tunnels are dark and rather filthy.
"I still don't like this, Harry", you say again, as you see a huge snakes skin laying on the ground.
"This thing must be 60 feet long. Or more", Ron says, and the moment those words have escaped Ron's mouth, professor Lockheart faints and falls on the ground. You stare at him, but notice that he hasn't really fainted.
"Ron, watch -"
You are too late. Professor Lockheart has stood up again and taken Ron's wand.
"The adventure ends here."
You look at him, slightly afraid, and listen to him, saying that he is going to turn this 'adventure' into a story again, and that he will sell that story, but he has to take our memories.
"You first, Potter. Say goodbye to your memories", Lockheart says, but the moment he says the spell, he gets thrown back by the spell. Ron's wand was still broken, and unable to manage to cast a spell.
As he was thrown back, he hit the wall behind him, and suddenly the ground is shaking.
"Watch out !" You say. The ceiling collapses and rocks fall into the ground. You manage to get away with Ron, but you don't have a clue where Harry is.
When everything stops shaking, you and Ron get up.
"Ron are you okay ?" We suddenly hear Harry ask.
"I'm fine."
"Blanche ? Are you okay too ?"
"Yes, I am", you reassure him.
Suddenly, professor Lockheart wakes up. He looks you into your eyes with an awkward smile.
"Hello", he says. "Who are you ?"
All confused you give him an answer.
"Uh, I'm Blanche Lightwood."
"Oh, and who are you ?" He asks, his eyes have now fallen onto Ron.
"I'm Ron Weasley."
"Really ? And who am I ?" Professor Lockheart asks. You look at Ron and swallow.
"I'm afraid his memory charm has worked."
"Lockheart's memory charm got backfired. He hasn't got a clue who he is", Ron yells to Harry, who is still on the other side of the rocks.
"This is some odd sort of place, isn't it ?" Lockheart looks back at you, the awkward smile still on his face. "Do you live here ?"
Ron suddenly picks up a tiny rock and smashes it against Lockheart's head. His eyes close and he falls onto the ground again.
"What do we do now ?" He asks Harry.
"You wait here, and try to shift some of these rocks so I can get back through", Harry replies. Ron looks back at you and you nod. You both try to shift some of the rocks carefully and you wait for what feels like hours, until Harry finally returns.

"I can't believe you actually did it. You and Ron. And Hermione helped too of course", you say as you, Harry and Ron walk through the halls towards the Great Hall. The Chamber of Secrets is now in the past. Harry has defeated the basilisk and he has defeated Tom Riddle. Almost all of the people who had been petrified are back, and you've never been happier.
"Don't forget that you helped too, Blanche", Harry says. You're about to enter the Great Hall with a smile on your face, until Draco steps in front of you.
"So you're hanging with Potter now", Draco states. You sigh. You had little hope that Draco might've changed, because of the way he acted towards you in the library days ago. He was actually kind to you. But Draco will always remain Draco.
"You're only hanging with him because you want to be a hero too. Shall I tell you a secret ? Potter's not a hero", he says, quickly looking at Harry now, who is still standing next to you. "So you won't be a hero either."
Crabbe and Goyle have suddenly taken their places behind Draco.
"I thought I had told you to be careful and stay out of trouble", Draco says the moment you don't give him an answer.
"I decided not to listen", you say, and quickly shove past him into the Great Hall. Harry and Ron follow. You stop thinking about Draco and let a smile reappear.
"I think you are a hero", Harry says as he places his hand on your shoulder.
"I think you're a hero too, Harry."
You give him a smile and watch him and Ron walk over to the Gryffindor table. You yourself make way for the Hufflepuff table.
"Blanche !"
"Susan !"
You run up to your best friend Susan who is sitting at the table and you immediately throw your arms around her.
"I was so scared, Susan. When you got petrified, I didn't know what to do."
Susan slowly lets go and looks you into your eyes.
"No need to be afraid."
"I've heard what you've done, Blanche", Ernie says, who is sitting on the other side of Susan. You give him a quick hug too.
"That was really brave of you, Blanche."
"Weren't you scared in the Chamber of Secrets ?"
Susan asks. You shake your head.
"I'm just happy everything's okay again. I'm happy you're back. I'm happy everyone's back."
