Your fourth year at Hogwarts has started weeks ago. This year, you are more excited for school than any other year. You don't have to be afraid of Draco; last year he had been so kind to you that you now know he is a good person, and that he won't bully or call you names any more. A second reason why you're excited, is because you've heard that the Triwizard Tournament is going to take place at your school this year. Two other schools have joined your school, and one student of each school will be picked to take his or her place in the tournament. One student of Hogwarts will also be picked, yet there is a rule that says that you can only try to win a spot in the tournament if you're seventeen or older. You cannot take your place in the tournament, but you're not upset about that. Not like almost every other student younger than seventeen.

"I can't believe you're not upset", your little brother Edward tells you as you're both walking outside of Hogwarts. Even though winter is approaching, it's nice and warm outside.
"Why should I be upset, Ed ?" you ask with a smile. He stops walking and steps in front of you.
"Why should you ?" he mocks in disbelief. "You can't be in the Triwizard Tournament, Blanche. You're not old enough yet. Doesn't that bother you ?"
You look down at him and see how angry and desperate your little brother is getting.
"It cleary bothers you", you state. You notice him rolling with his eyes, yet you can't help but to laugh quietly at how angry he is.
"Don't laugh, Blanche ! This is serious !"
You nod in agreement, surpressing your smile.
"But Ed, the only reason why you can't participate is because the Triwizard Tournament is dangerous, and you're only twelve."
"And you're fourteen", he interrupts.
"Yes, and that means I'm also too young. The tournament is going to be very dangerous, so you should be happy that you can't participate."
You can see that he's not agreeing with what you're saying at all, even though he now says that you might be right.
"Ed ! Over here !" you suddenly hear. You turn around and see that Edward's friends are running up to you and him.
"I'm going to Scott and Jeremy, okay ?" he says with a tiny smile. You nod and then watch him run away to his friends.
"I'll be back inside. You have to come inside too. The Champions of the Triwizard Tournament will be chosen shortly", you quickly shout at him. You watch him put his thumb in the air, and then you turn around to walk inside. You immediately bump into Seamus the moment you've set one foot inside the castle. You had become closer to him last year, yet you had barely seen him this year.
"That's the second long face I've seen today", you say as you look at him. He looks at you, and his sad expression immediately turns into a smile.
"Why are you upset ? Don't tell me it's because of the Triwizard Tournament."
"No, of course not ! And I am not upset at all."
You cross your arms and look at him with a raised eyebrow. A smile is still on your face.
"Fine", he sighs. "I am upset, and it is because of the Triwizard Tournament."
You shake your head and drop your arms to your side.
"Oh, come on Seamus. The Triwizard Tournament is going to be dangerous, you know that. Dumbledore isn't adding this age rule for nothing. He knows what he's doing, and so does the Ministry for Magic. They would've cancelled the tournament if they could", you explain. You both start walking side to side through the halls, yet you cannot look away from him.
"But I could've shown everyone how heroic I can be", he says. You laugh quietly and stop walking. Seamus stops walking as well and stares at you.
"Why are you laughing ?" he asks you. You look up at him and stop laughing, but a smile is still on your face. You come closer to him and place your hand on his shoulder.
"Because I already know that you're very brave and heroic, Seamus. There's no need to prove that by participating the tournament", you say. You notice that a blush reaches his cheeks, and you immediately let go of his shoulder and take a step back for some reason.
"You're not brave, Seamus", you suddenly hear behind you. "No tournament can change that."
You turn around and see that Draco is walking up to you two. He is alone. No Crabbe or Goyle are standing behind him, and surprisingly, Pansy is nowhere to be found either. Pansy has become really clingy and follows Draco everywhere she can, so it's quite hard to believe that she's not here with him now.
"Don't be so harsh, Draco", you say. You notice in the corner of your eye that Seamus has left you two and walked into the Great Hall already. As Draco starts laughing, your eyes quickly shoot back at him.
"What do you mean, harsh ?" Draco asks with a smirk once he has stopped laughing.
"The way you just acted towards Seamus. I thought you had changed, Draco."
He comes closer to you.
"I don't change, Blanche", he then says. He walks into the Great Hall, and you follow him. Every student has gathered into the Great Hall already, and the students of the other Wizarding schools have as well. You look around the room and try to find Susan and Ernie, but you can't see them anywhere.
"Come with me", you hear Draco say.
"And sit with your friends ? No, thank you", you say to him, crossing your arms.
"They're not as bad as you think, Blanche."
"They're worse than you are."
He walks up to you with a smile.
"But I'm not that bad, now am I ?"
You stare up at him, arms still crossed. Even though he's still wearing a smirk, he gives in.
"Alright, we'll sit over there", Draco says. Before you can argue some more, Dumbledore starts talking. The doors of the Great Hall are being closed, and Draco sits down. You sit down next to him, and listen carefully to what Dumbledore has to say, excited to know who the Champions of the Triwizard Tournament are going to be.
