A little while later, I was all bandaged up when Elizabeth came in with my dinner.
“I traded this job with Else." She said as she sat down. I made a face. Else was our regular dinner server. Plus she was the meanest one. Robbie and I got in trouble almost every meal.
“I thought you may like some company." Elizabeth said.
“You’re right" I said as dug into my mashed potatoes. "I lied"
"Huh?" Elizabeth asked.
“I remember parts of what happened." I said grabbing my drink.
"Why didn't you tell your father?" She asked as she snatched a green been.
“Because when I put the evidence together, it leads to one person." I said.
"Who?" Elizabeth said in a wondering voice.
“Eli" I said, twirling my spoon in my soup.
“Wait, Gin's Brother?" Elizabeth whispered.
“I believe so" I said.
"Wow" She said as she fidgeted with her dress.
"What?" I asked.
"Eli just asked Else out today and she said yes" Elizabeth said.
"Ok as weird as that sounds" I said "We have to stop this from happening."
"But how? You know Else's top Servant. I wouldn't be able to just go up to her and tell her to stop the date. She actually smiled." I thought about it for a little bit and then said
"Remember when we got rid of Ellen?" Ellen was one of my ladies in waiting.
Elizabeth chuckled. "How could I forget.” She said.
"Well what if we do the same thing, but not go so far?" I said.
"Not a bad idea" Elizabeth said with a twinkle in her eye.
