We ran towards the stables where Elizabeth was brushing Chesnutt. Gin explained what was going on as I put the saddle on Chesnutt. Gin and I jumped on and rode like the wind while Elizabeth went inside to tell my father. When we got there we circled around the house until we saw Eli in the window. He was holding Amy by the neck. I climbed onto Gin’s shoulders and he gave me a boost. I broke the window and went in.

“What the?” Eli said. I kicked him in the chest.

“Run Amy RUN!” I shouted. Amy ran out the door. Eli grabbed my hair and tossed me into the wall in the other side.

“Leave her alone.” Gin said as he ran into the room.

“Or what?” Eli said as he grabbed me by the throat. Gin ran into Eli which broke his grip against me. I fell to the floor, gasping for breath. I looked up to find Gin basically tearing Eli apart. Moving my hand, I felt a long rope. Testing it, I figured that it was pretty strong. I looked up again, I saw Eli going to grab Gin’s shirt. I got in between them and wrapped it around Eli’s hands. I knocked my head against his and he fell ontothe floor, knocked out cold.

“Are you all right?” I asked Gin as I turned towards him.

“Yeah you?” Gin asked as he wrapped his arms around me.

“Fine…Gin! You have a really bad cut on your head!” I exclaimed as I moved his hair back.

“Oh no wonder I…I feel…” Gin said as he fell towards the floor.

“GIN!” I screamed as I caught him. Father came rushing in.

“John! Take Mr. Johnson to the prison.” Father called out as he wiped out his handkerchief. He wrapped it around Gin’s head. I kept calling Gin’s name trying to get him to respond with no luck.
