“I know announce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride.” Pastor Paul said. Gin pulled me close. Everybody cheered. After that we all walked down to the reception area. Everyone said congratulations to us and Robbie and his new wife to be, Amy . Ashley came to up to us.
“Looks like everything worked out after all, Mrs. Johnson.” She said.
“Looks like it, sister.” I said, blushing. Then Daniel came towards us.
“Welcome to the family.” He said to Gin.
“Thank you.” Gin said “Would you mind if I took my wife away?”
“Not a problem.” Daniel said. Gin put his hand around my waist and pulled me away from the party. “Gin, where are we going?” I asked. Gin just chuckled and took out his handkerchief. He wrapped it around my head, whispering
“It’s a surprise.” We walked for a while then Gin put his hands on my shoulders so I would stop. He took off the handkerchief. I saw my mother’s grave. Only she wasn’t in it. Gin saw me panicking. “Look ahead.” He said. I looked up to find my mother standing against a tree. I turned quickly towards Gin. He laughed at my expression and nodded. I ran towards Mother, screaming “Mother!”
She turned and ran towards me.
“Mother.” I said as I hugged her.
“I’ve missed you too.” She said as she hugged me back.
“But How?” I asked.
“Sam came to talk to me before the stabbing and explained what had happened. I decided I wanted to help. So we faked my death.” She said. I looked up to find her looking straight behind me. I turned to find Daniel, Alice, John, Robbie, and Father standing. Mother and I looked at each other and I nodded. We both held out our right arms and everyone ran towards us. My siblings got there first and joined in the hug. I saw Father standing in the background. I tapped every sibling’s shoulders and we backed away.
“Emma.” Father said as he walked towards her.
“Ethan” Mother said. Father ran the rest of the way, picked her up and swung her around. Then he put her down and they kissed. I felt a hand on my waist. I turned towards Gin.
“Thank you.” I said.
“You’re welcome.” Gin said as he kissed me.
“Daughter, why was Eli after you anyway?” Father asked.
“Stubbornness. Eli always got what he wanted but I chose Gin over him because of that. Eli just couldn’t have that.” I said. We walked to the carriage where Gin and I were about to go off on our honeymoon.
“I just can’t all of this happened so fast.” He said.
“Everything will slow down now.” I said.
“I know.” Father said as he hugged me.
“Just be careful Princess.” I nodded as Gin came and wrapped his arms around me.
