I ran. I ran as fast as I could. I heard them behind me chasing after me. They were getting closer and closer. Until I could hear their heavy breathing. I ducked out of his grasp and jumped into the water. Gasping and struggling to swim. The water is moving fast, was the last thought I had before I went over the falls. I blacked out. Then I slowly came back to reality as the cold water burned my body. I looked around and realized I had reached shore. My body was stiff from the cold and hunger. How long had it been since I ate she thought? How long had it been since I felt the warmth of a fire? Sure her master had beaten her and abused her every day of her life. But now in the state that she was in with her sunken stomach and numb body perhaps that life would have been better. No, she wanted the pain to stop. She ran away from him but he was relentless and hunted for weeks on end. Until she had almost no strength and had bruises and cuts all over her body. He even sent dogs after her. Some of them even managed to overtake her and bite her arms and legs yet each time she managed to get away. How long will my luck last? The smell of food faintly filled the air. She was desperate. She crawled into the bushes and then into a tree. As she prepared her small dagger. She just wanted a little food and there was no way she was walking away from this opportunity.

---------------

Vio: Green and Blue, as usual, were arguing loudly as I tried to cook over the fire. Every day was the same way. Red intervened trying to get them to stop. I looked up to see Blue angrily stomping off as Red cried and Green tried to comfort him. Sighing I went back to turning the fish. I then became aware of a presence. I looked all around but couldn't see anyone; so I shrugged and went back to reading.

Blue: "Stupid Green," I mumbled as I went to find more wood for the fire. I paused a moment, I was quite sure I had heard something. I looked around but all I could see was the darkening skies and the muddy landscape. Grumbling some more I hurriedly grabbed more firewood.

Green: Sighing I stroked Red's head who was still wiping away tears. I didn't really like fighting with Blue either but on the other hand, everyone just seemed so tense. Maybe their quest was just becoming too stressful. Rubbing my forehead as the rain started to come down, I walked toward the water saying, I guess I'll grab us another fish.

Red: I saw Vio sitting by the fire reading and realized maybe he could help. Vio? Vio looked up from his book and frowned. "I don't know what to do," Red said tears still welling up. He sighed lightly and looked up at me. " I tried everything I could think of but Green and Blue still fight and everyone still looks really sad.

Vio: I smiled to myself thinking, That's just like Red always wanting to make everyone one happy. "Maybe they will cheer up after we eat and the rain stops," I suggested.

Red: "Oh thanks, Vio," Red said giving his brother a big hug. (Much to Vio's dismay.)

Vio: Red brightened up after that and I watched as he began looking around for some berries to make his brothers happy.

Blue: I look around warily as suddenly a snap of a twig bring my hand to my hilt. "Who's there?" I shout drawing my blade. Swiftly something hits me hard from above and I fall into the mud. Unable to move from the blow to the head, I watched as a figure runs towards the camp.

--------------

I ran silently toward the camp. There were three more of them around the fire area. However one was far enough away I doubted he would catch me. And the one in purple seemed preoccupied with making a shelter. That left only one next to the food and I had the element of surprise. I flew out into the open surprising the red one and knocking him into the mud as I dashed away with my prize in hand.

----------

Red: I thought in frustration as I repeatably fell because of the slippery mud. Finally, I was able to stand however our dinner was now burning. Then I had an idea, one that would cheer everyone up. I will finish making dinner and complete the fort for Vio! I giggled as I began grabbing supplies to make a fort, away from the rain.

Meanwhile, Vio chased after the thief with Green in tow.

Blue: "Ouch! Wait till I get my hands on that rat who jumped me! I'll wring his good for nothing little neck!" I began running back towards camp.

---------

I have to stop, I thought. My legs could barely support my weight. Still, the adrenaline pushed me forward thankfully under a log where I prayed that no one would find me. I greedily began to sink my teeth into the fish.

----------

Vio: I stopped momentarily to investigate some tracks while Green went to look for Blue. "Strange," I said to himself. The foe appears to have a limp and if I am correct shouldn't have made it very far with it, I pondered. I then began to investigate my surroundings in search of where the villain could have been hiding.

----------

I heard movement and I peeked out from my hiding spot just as the figure began searching for me. No, if he finds me he will either beat me or kill me! I moved deeper into my hiding place. It was freezing I only had a light torn shawl to cover myself in and it was nearly November.

--------

Blue: "So did you see what he looked like?" I asked Green as we rushed to catch up to Vio.

Green: "Only his back, but he couldn't have gone far," I answered.

Blue:"Good, now I can have someone to take out all of my frustration on besides Red," I said while popping my knuckles.

Green: I nodded it had taken me a while to catch that fish and there was no way I was going to let this thief get away with stealing it.

Vio: I had become aware of labored breathing nearby. Placing my hand on the hilt of my sword I edged closer for a better look. What I saw was a young girl eagerly eating a nearly meatless fish. "Hello there," I said softly trying not to scare her. The young girl looked incredibly frightened at the sound of my voice. She then tried to make a run for it but was quickly apprehended as I seized her.

---------

No! Not again please not again! I just want the pain to end!
