I follow Red and Green through the streets and far away from any coco's. Along the way we find Blue and we all begin heading towards the only place Vio could be, the library. I couldn't help but feel excited at the thought of seeing that many books! I enter the library as the warm air hits my face along with the wonderful smell of parchment. I look around in awe and spot Vio sitting in a corner leafing through several books.

Blue: Whatcha staring at Opal?

I nearly jump. Crap I forgot they were here too! My face turns red and I wave my hands in an effort to say nothing.

Blue: (chuckles) Were you eyeing Vio?

I felt as if my blood pressure would explode as I silently prayed for lighting to strike me and end this horrible conversation.

Blue: Well that is quite the expression you got there. Why don't you go say hi to him and express your undying love for him?

I shook my head violently. Why would Vio ever like me? I wasn't deserving of someone like him. Besides I couldn't really have feelings for him, could I?

Blue: Get moving! I said grabbing her arm and swinging her straight into Vio's lap.

I try to struggle out of Blue's grip and manage to... at the worst possible time. I land right on top of Vio's lap with a thud. My stomach twisted into knots as I gazed up into his surprised eyes. His face was three inches from mine.

Vio: O-Opal? What are you doing? My face turned a rose red as I looked down at her.

I made an effort to spring out of his lap but ended up bumping our foreheads together.

Vio: Ouch! My deepest apologies Opal! I made an effort to pull her off the ground I could see her blushing cheeks that she tried in vain to hide under her hood. Oh, she had new clothes. She looked beautiful and I really wanted to tell her that. Opal, you look pulchritudinous. I wanted to facepalm.

I had no idea what he just said but somehow I knew it had to be something nice. So I smiled at him and wrote thank you on his hand. Then I went to talk with Red who was at the moment trying to lure the old librarian into giving him candy.

Vio: When she walked away I did facepalm. Blue walked over to me tears nearly running down his face from what I assumed to be laughter. He put his arm around my shoulder and punched me in the arm. Unbalancing me and making him laugh harder.

Blue: Man, for being a super smart person you sure are a moron!

Vio: I blushed a little but came up with a witty response that would save me from this situation. Why Blue, I don't believe you have ever admitted to me being intelligent. I smiled at him and he huffed and walked away. Finally! That was thoroughly unenjoyable. Why is it whenever I get nervous I say such big words? I went back to my books. I had been ravaging through every book in the library trying to find what kind of egg Opal had. I had finally found a small book on it and I was busy copying my findings down on paper when that uncomfortable situation occurred. There wasn't much but of what little information there was I was able to discover that Opal's egg was a dragon. A beast that I had not heard of for centuries and there were many songs and poems written about there power and might. They came in many different sizes and shapes. I needed to tell her about this.

I wanted to giggle at Red's politeness and general adorableness to the old woman. She seemed to adore him but who wouldn't? I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to see Vio. We sat down and he started explaining what he had been researching. He showed me the book he had been studying and I couldn't read a lot of the big words but one stuck out to me. Dragons it was about dragon eggs! I looked at a roughly drawn picture and nearly jumped out of my chair. The picture looked just like my egg! I took it out of the sachel and felt it's happy thrum. I held it to my cheek and felt it tap me slightly. I gasped and grabbed Vio's hand to show him that the egg was moving. His eyes got wide and as he touched the egg it thrummed again.
