The Hunger Games are just like any other game. If you know how to play and are smart, you win. I, of course, am playing to win. Before the reaping, I watched almost every Hunger Games ever. And all the winners had an alliance early on. That's the only reason I agreed to join Josh's little alliance. Everything I do is to win. I'm a career, I have to.
The day after our alliance was formed was our individual performance in front of the gamemakers. I'm district 2, so I went third. I didn't do much. I shot some arrows and threw some knives, but they seemed impressed. That night the scores were posted.

I must have done better than I thought. I don't know what Alyson showed the gamemakers to get a 7. But with only one score below 5, we're definitely going to get a lot of sponsors. Now, the only thing left to do is survive the Games. Let the 40th annual Hunger Games commence.
