You got home and found a note on the counter, "Dress up, picking you up at 7". Tulips are your favourite flowers and I ordered a dozen and had them delivered to you. "You're so sweet baby" flashed across my screen with about 60 heart emojis, I giggled and responded that I'll be sending an Uber so you better get ready, you only had two or so hours.

Meanwhile, I was also getting ready, I went for a smart casual look, spotting a tailored dark navy blazer I hardly ever wore but it still fit perfectly with a white shirt underneath (no tie) and matching slim fit pants with black dressing shoes.
Two hours later your Uber arrived at our destination which was the park and I was there waiting to open the door for you. You stepped out and you looked breathtaking. I hadn't seen you wear a weave in such a long time and you looked just as beautiful as you do with your natural hair or braids. You wore a white cotton floral sleeveless maxi dress with maroon gladiator sandals that matched some of details on the dress.

You were a vision, a sight to behold, the 8th Wonder of the world. I was in awe, "you look beautiful," I said, as I embraced you, "you don't look too bad yourself," you said with a cheeky smile. I led you to the middle of the park near the pond where the moon was reflected perfectly and the stars were dancing in the sky, there was a path of candles leading to a cozy little dinner picnic setting with pillows and a bunch of food, all your favourites.

"When did you get time for all of this?" you said, sounding pleasantly surprised.
"I had a little help" I replied softly, while pulling out a purple rectangular box with a ribbon from my blazer. I opened it and pulled out a necklace, "Babe, you didn't have to..." you trailed off and I got behind you and put it on you (I know that sounded dirty). You looked even more beautiful now, your eyes were luminous, sparkling just as much as the neck piece. "Thank you" you said, wiping a tear from your face.

You always got so emotional and I never understood it to be honest, it was funny and sad and even though they were tears of joy, there was just something about seeing you cry that made me sad too. We sat down and enjoyed the meal, I tried bringing all your favourites: lamb chops, brown rice, baked potatoes, marshmallows, magnum ice cream, Oreos, Oros, some litchi flavoured bottled water, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, non-alcoholic wine because we both don't drink and a box of chocolates just to mention a few. Come to think of it, I might have went a bit overboard.

I even hired someone from Streets Photography to snap some pictures of us. The flash did surprise you at first as he started snapping away without warning but you quickly forgot about the cameraman as we enjoyed each other's company. It was a fulfilling night, the ambiance was perfect but I held off, this was just the beginning of great things to come. Speaking of coming, I was definitely going to administer the 4th alphabet when we got home. I was still vying for that coveted Boyfriend of the Year Award.
