Cal's POV

Finally, I was waiting for this moment all month. Standing here at my wedding with the woman I love. After defeating Maven we made official that she will be my queen. Not everybody was happy especially not my grandma. Maven is in prison and Mare is often visiting him and trying to make him feel comfortable. Or more trying to make him happy so he would feel something. I admit sometimes it made me slightly jealous. And other perfect news is that Mare is in the third month. Yeah, she is pregnant and we are both happier than ever. She is hoping it will be a girl and I that it will be a boy, an heir to the throne. The hall went quiet and the music started playing. Everybody stood up and watched in awe.

Her white dress flu around her and I couldn't stop the wide smile that stretched across my face. She was beautiful. She smiled and walked slowly with her father to me. At the end of the aisle, he kissed her cheek and gone to the right side. Mare stood in front of me and my smile grew even wider. I could barely make any word that the priest was saying. All I could do was watch her.
When we said our promises finally came the part of kiss the bride. Without a second thought, my mouth was on hers. Cheers erupted thru the crowd. Damn, I loved her.

Five years later

I smiled at my son and daughter that were running around. Ethan was older than his sister but yet let her be the first in the run. Mare took Anabel into her arms and started running from Ethan. He started running after them. Their laughs were ringing thru the garden. Mare smiled at me when she sat Anabel down. The two of them ran away from us. She was slowly approaching me, too slowly for my liking. Having her in my arms makes my never-ending days better. When she sat beside me and grabbed an apple my hands were immediately around her waist. She smiled at me and I put her in my lap.

,, Ethan would be a good king like you." She said after a while and I smiled. That smile was finally real after all this time.

,, Thank you and our daughter is already a perfect princess the etiquette has after you." Mare laughed. We both knew she was bad at etiquette, everything she did was about fun for her.

,, How was your day?" Was her another question. She always asked me afraid if I had enough sleep or if I don't need any help. Or if I ate enough.

I shake my head at her. ,, Good, no rebellion and Evangeline finally stopped making demands from her husband and me." Mare kissed my cheek. Nuzzling into my neck.

,, That's good and how is Kilorn in his new spot?" She asked. Always so curious.
,, Being a personal guard of our son was an honor for him, he almost kissed my feet for being the future king's bodyguard. Said girls would go after him." She slightly laughed again and this time I kissed her cheek.

,, Were you visiting Maven today?" She nodded. Holding a ghost smile.

,, Yes, in the morning he is better and asked me about our children." Maven was approving and lately was smiling just for nothing.
,, Hmm?" Was my answer into her neck. I kissed her neck and she let out a sighed of pleasure.

,, I was thinking that he could see them, he will be behind bars and they will just say hi." I kissed her again as she waited for my answer.

,, Fine then, maybe it will help him and his state." She quickly turned around and kissed me. I loved when she showed how grateful she is. But pulled away after a moment.

,, I almost forgot, Farley, said she will arrive tomorrow with Clara!" Mare is obsessed with her niece and Farley is glad she can spend time away from Mares mother. Not that she wouldn't like her but she said she is everywhere where she moves.

,, That's good the kids could play." She nodded eagerly. And I kissed her again. I loved how affection we got.

,, Why don't we let guards watch the kids with nannies and we will go to our room?" She smiled and giggled at my eagerness to take her to the room.

,, If you wish, my king." I let out a breath of relief and picked her up.
Well, and then we all know what will happen next.
