Mitch didn't wake up until after twelve pm. Scott was already missing from the bed but he could hear the TV in the living room. He decided he probably shouldn't leave Beau at his parent's house alone all day. He got up and walked through to the bathroom and switched on the water. Before he could slip out of his underwear he heard a knock on the door.

"Mitchie?" He walked over and cracked the door open to look at Scott.

"Yes?" Mitch was forced to take a step back when Scott pushed the door open wider and wrapped his arms around him. He pressed his cheek into the warm chest and inhaled. "Did you just need a hug?" He could feel Scott shake from nodding and turned his head to look up at the man who was looking down. "Do you want to shower with me?" He could feel Scott's muscles stiffen at this question. "Nothing sexual, just... comfort."

     "Yeah, sure."

They had seen each other naked plenty of times before. They had skinny dipped together in a few places and the occasional accidental walk in when they were living together, but nothing felt quite the same as how they did now. Mitch, being the less shy of the two right now, turned away from Scott and pushed his underwear down kicking it off his feet and stuck a hand in the shower to feel the temperature. He could feel Scott staring at him and felt the need to cover up with the fluorescent light highlighting every flaw. He quickly jumped behind the curtain and into the water. His eyes were closed when he heard it open a couple minutes later, and could feel the large man standing very still behind him. "You can touch, Scotty. I won't bite." He joked and immediately felt hands touch his shoulders and slide down his sides to his hips.

"Good," Scott kissed his neck. "Morning," another kiss closer to his ear. A final kiss was placed on his temple and he leaned back into cold skin not yet warmed from the shower.

"Good morning." He pulled Scott under the stream with him. "Now, you relax and let me do all the work." He combed his fingers through the blonde locks making Scott's eyes roll back into his head in pleasure.

Mitch unlocked his parent's front door and stepped inside. He knew they were at the hospital along with Scott and his family, but Mitch didn't want to leave Beau all day here by himself. He probably felt pretty terrible as it was, and he was pretty much trapped in his ex-boyfriend's house in a strange city. "Beau?" He yelled into the house.

"In your room!" Mitch wandered down the hallway and peered into his room. Beau didn't look right in his childhood bed. He was sat against the headboard, face focused down at his phone.

"Uh... hey. Did you sleep okay? Parents didn't give you any trouble, right?"

"No, no, they were great. Fed me breakfast and everything. And no, didn't really sleep at all, really. How about you?"

"Nope, didn't sleep well at all." Mitch looked up at the ceiling fan, hoping he didn't look as awkward as he felt.

"Well, come sit down, we didn't really get to finish our conversation yesterday." Mitch slipped off his shoes and walked over to the bed, sliding under the covers but keeping his distance.

"What else do you have questions about?" Mitch cocked an eyebrow at him, not knowing what else he could possibly want to know.

"Um... why am I not good enough for you?" Beau was looking into his eyes and Mitch's heart broke, if it was possible to break multiple times for the same reason, for the man in front of him.

"Wow, diving right in again." Mitch sighed. "You are such a good man Beau, and I have loved the past two years together. I couldn't thank you more for picking me up when Pentatonix ended. But, Scott was my past and present for a really long time. I think he was always going to be my future too. If I had known you wanted to marry me and settle down, maybe things would've been different. I don't want to lead you on any more than I already have." Mitch surprised himself with how easy it was to talk about this right now. Now that his mind was fully made up, he didn't feel bad about letting this man go, he felt bad for keeping him and not loving him fully.
